The only stats that I've found worthwhile to put more than 100 in were Hide in Shadows, Move Silently, and Detect Illusion.

Is this because armor lowers your ability to Hide in Shadows and Move Silently? In which way is having more than 100% in Detect Illusion going to give you more chance of detecting illusions? (100% is absolute, unless there are things that also lower your ability to detect illusions).

...and pickpocket. The higher the better as I think the mark's level has a negative modifier. BTW has anyone ever robbed Bernard's store in the Copper Coronet? Is he thief proof?

Exceeding 100% in Hide in Shadows and Move Silently enables my thieves to hide even in high-level lighting conditions, with a
much smaller chance of failure. Exceeding 100% in Detect Illusions seems to help my thieves dispel illusions quicker.
@kopywrite: Oh yeah, I forgot that stat, but I usually don't worry about allocating points to it since I use potions to bring it near 200% anyway.

I've been able to steal from Bernard - with Pickpockets near 200%, but it seems that the chances of a successful pickpocket decrease each time you steal something, because I've never been able to do it more than a couple of times (without cheating

).

@Sojourner: ok, thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure about Detect Illusions exceeding 100%.
