i just started ToB, i imported my paadin, keldorn, imoen, valygar, and minsc. i have a rep 20. i picked up saverok. should i change into slayer to drop my rep a little? i dont want him to leave, hes a fairly good fighter. Also, how long before i can get hel as my stronghold? i saw somewhere it was possible, the instructions i believe....right now i'm about to enter the sewers in the first city.

You should. Evil chars leave the party if your rep is above 18. Since there's a truckload of money to collect in ToB (at the moment I have 600,000 plus several items and a nice collection of rougue stones and King's tears) rep doesn't matter much.

if you make sarevok swear allegiance to you, his alignment will change and you need not worry about anything

Not quite correct... you must actully NOT make him swear allegiance (oath) in order for the alignment change to happen. The alignment change dialog happens randomly.

arg, i made him switch...now i just use change to drop, cuz whenever it goes up it says "If things continue I see no pint in continuing". Also, I made the spirits of faith bring all my friends to me, so now I have like 10 people walkin around in there =) The boxes are what I use for storage-theyre safe right? And how do I open all the other tests? I beat the first one, right now i'm at the first of mir tryin to kill that one guy

Sarevoks "If things continue ..." line is only his "unhappy" line, don't care about it as long as your rep ain't higher than 18.

The boxes are safe, yes.

The other doors will open as you advance in the story, whenever a new door is opened you'll be teleported home instantly. This can be a little confusing, don't worry, you'll be teleported back after the Solar has talked to you (you'll have the chance to collect your loot).

My advice: get Sabre's happy script to cancel the effect of rep onyour party. I don't have the paitience to deal with rep just to get Edwin, Sarevok and Keldorn in the same party.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I've read somewhere that in ToB evil NPC's will not leave your party because of reputation.

I've played with a Paladin many times and my reputation stays at 20 ALL the time. Sarevok was the only evil NPC I had and he stayed, I didn't make him swear allegiance, he wasn't geased I just went on with the options to keep him happy, he eventually turned Chaotic Good and I was happy... :) :)

The moral? Sarevok does not leave your party... :)

Sarevok will not leave your party. Even if your reputation is 20.

@jaxaxe:

I'm sure I've read it somewhere here. Maybe it's related to Ascension Mod, maybe not...

I could swear that I have read numerous times that TOB prevents any and all NPCs froms leaving your party due to rep

Sarevok & Jaheira

I have just started ToB and when I put Sarevok in my party (Instead of Minsc, do you think is a good change? X-D ) Jaheira says something as if she doesn't agree. Will this affect in some way the romance?

@MacHurto:

Sarevok is the best choice to replace even Korgan --if you mean what I mean! ;) :D

As for Jaheira, I don't think so, but then, I have never been too close to the lady, and so wait for someone else to tell. :D

I don't know about the rest of you, but I took Saverok at the very start of TOB, and made him swear allegiance. I had 20 rep through all of TOB, and he complained alot, but never left.

There will be no problem with Jaheira's romance for accepting Sarevok into the party.

Haven't played the game for a long time, but as far I as remember, NPCs will not leave the party because of rep when you're playing ToB - this only happen for ToB areas, not SoA areas after installing ToB.

Paladin problem

I just finished SoA and I played a paladin. But I face some problem at the end with my paladin. Fisrt my reputation drops from 18 to 9 just after I killed Bodhi and later on, when I was in Hell, my character becomes a Fallen Paladin...So I gave Carshomir to Keldorn etc...
So did you experience the same?
