how do i do trademeet (does someone talk to me, or do i talk to someone?) please help

How do I do the trademeet quest? In all of my other games I was able to do trademeet. I don't remeber though, if someone came to me or if I am supposed to talk to someone. Anybody know?

You must speak with someone at the City Gates... dont remeber his name... but you cant miss him.

Some militia guard or captain will tell you to visit the mayor. I think the original quest already refers to him as "high merchant", so just pay him a visit.

Or you can free Mazzy from the shade lord's dungeun- and she marks it on your map.
