I'm currently in the Watcher's Keep, on the level with Lum the Mad's machine. Recently, my game has started "hiccupping." This isn't the stutter issue addressed by the latest patch... at least I don't think it is because I've installed the patch. Every second or two, the cursor momentarily changes to the pointing finger. This has the annoying side effect of cancelling out whatever command I just gave my characters. For example, I select my entire party and tell them to move to a certain location. A second later the pointer hiccups, Minsc's locator disappears, and he stops dead in his tracks. This is making it impossible to even move around, let alone make any progress in the dungeon. Again, I've installed patch 26498, and I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere before. If anybody has an idea, I'd sure appreciate the help.

Hopefully someone may be able to give you better advice but it definitely does not sound like a 'gameplay' related problem. Check to make sure none of your characters are suffering from curses, or other spells, in their character sheets. If nothing suggests itself as the likely cause I would have to suggest that it is a corrupt game file and/or game installation.

The only solution may be to reload, and/or reinstall. Anyone else? - Curdis !

Though there are others more knowledgable than I, I would agree with Curdis, sounds like a corrupt game file and possible reinstall.
