I am playing through the original Baldur's Gate, and I think I have some missed a dream. I have killed Tranzig and I am in chapter 3, but i have only had one dream. I can't remember if this is normal, so any help would be appreciated.

I've noticed that if you move through the main plot too quickly, some of the dream sequences will end up taking place in later chapters. I've haven't been able to figure out the dream mechanism yet, but it seems to be on some sort of timer, and the dreams seem more likely to occur when resting at night.

I believe you'll get one after the mines, and one after the bandid camp.
So if you killet Teranzig you didn;t do the banditcamp jet, so you're supposed to have had only one dream!

I've just arrived the banditcamp - and had 3 dreams on my way there (2 before and 1 after the mines). All of them when I was resting "in-doors". Well, maybe I have been walking around too long just having fun *L*.

As far as I can remember the dreams are paired. Meaning a plot event triggers the first, while the first dream triggers the second. Then you have to wait until you come to the next trigger point in the plot for the next ones. (Six in all, and six special abilities)
I'm playing through again at the moment. Got the first before entering the Nashkel mines and the second after leaving.
The dreams do tend to pop up randomly once triggered . Try saving before resting, then reloading if you don't get it.
Hope this helps.
BTW What special abilities has everyone had? I've noticed that starting new games in BG2 often gave me different specials. Are they race/class reliant? I've always had Cure Light Wounds, Slow Poision and Draw Upon Holy Might with my human Paladin.

They are allignement connected for the start of BG2 (that's why youre paladins always get the same)
And reputation connected for BG1 (If i'm not mistaken)

I think they are based on reputation in both games, but since your starting rep is determined by your alignment, this is kind of a moot point.
