Dragons Eye Level 5 queston

Post by talisman »

I checked the walkthrough after going thru level 5, and by the map on this web site there is a secret room in the bottom right of the map. I try everything with my thief (find traps 95%, also used potion of perception) and I can't seem to locate the secret panel/door to this room. Any suggestions on where you found it, how, and if it matters if you have already killed everything in the area? Thanks for the help. Have a good one.

The mechanism that unlocks the door is in the room just north of it I don't think it matters if you kill all the enemies in the room or not.

It's a spot on the right wall, by a bookcase or shelf. Your thief should be able to unlock the mechanism. The passage will then open, although it's a bit hard to see.

You don't need to use lockpick on the mechanism, just point and click - your cursor changes to a lock when over it.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Yep, IIRC the spot on the wall can be found without a thief (although the thief will highlight the square for you). Its a large wall flagstone next to the bookshelf. :)

Thanks Very Much

I just went and found the room. Thanks for the great advice and quick response. I see now I was on the wrong track. I was looking for a hidden door (like in BG2) when I should have been looking for the sw. Hopefully I haven't missed anything similar earlier in the game. Have a good one.
