I've been reading the excellent thread on post-modernism (very educating to a dull-wit like me) and I noticed that a point often cropped up. Who are "they"? These people/entities who shape and shift humanity but who disguise themselves behind the mask of "they". So I thought this would make a good thread. Your thoughts please.

Well there is a (conspiracy) theory that all important things that happen in this world are controlled by one organisation that shape how we live. They have economic control over the entire world.

The truth of this is debatable

Seriously though, I've always thought that post-modernism was some kind of genre for certain media for art forms.

My friend Panther and I have figured out much about Them. They are Them, and They control Everything. These, Those, This, and That also work for Them. They also have It working Them. We are the only ones who can fight against Them, but We have repeatedly been betrayed by You. If We don't get You undercontrol, They'll....[color=royal blue]This transmission has been discontinued until further notice. It is my undying belief that included amongst the shadowy ranks of 'them' is Colonel Sanders.

Yes, and if you keep talking about him openly in that way, you will end up as a side order of extra crispy.
