What movie references have you found from BG2 SoA?

I'll start the list with Blair Witch Project (Umar Witch Project Journals).

Is there more?

It's not a movie reference per se, but notice the Moose and Squirrel together in Waukeen's promenade? (Rocky & Bullwinkle)

the paintings on the wall of Ribald's looked like Lichtenseins....again, not a movie reference, sorry..however, while we're on the subject, does anyone know who the picture of Neb's head is? he's wearing specs, so he must be a real person I think...

The paintings in the Adven Mart aren't movies, but they're a good comic addition. Anyone who knows goats about DnD knows that's Hank the ranger and Bobby the barbarian, 2 of the cast of Dungeons & Dragons. :D

Voice

I think I may posted this a long time ago. The only thing that I can make a movie reference on is the voice of Jons. It sounds exactly the same as the voice of the guy that plays in startrek. I am not to sure which movie again but it is the one that they go to the center of the universe. The guy I am talking about is the guy that works for the federation in the begining of the movie when spooks brother goes to nimbus 3 or what ever planet that is. Listen to the voice it is just like jons.

The voice of Jon Irenicus is by the delightful David Warner. Having several appearances in movies and shows(Wing Commander, an ep of Grim & Evil), and, yes, Star Trek.

St. John Talbot (Fed. Ambassador to Paradise City) ST V
Chancellor Gorkon (Leader of the Klingon High Council) ST VI
Gul Madred (Cardassian torturer) ST:TNG - "Chain of Command, Pts. I & II"

Coincidentally, Chain Pt. II is on tonight. He's so delightful in that role. It's spooky how he makes Madred remind me of Irenicus. :D

Whats spooky Timekeeper is that you know all of this.. That is just down right creepy.

Werent the ranger and the barbarian in the back of the adven Mart from a half decent DnD cartoon, not a comic?
And did they ever get eaten by Tiamat?
I remember the show only hazily back from when I was a youngin. Well, younger youngin

Comic addition in that context meant it was added to the game, not that it was an actual comic. :)

DnD was transformed into a cartoon which starred Hank (Ranger), Bobby (Barbarian), Susan (Cleric), Diana (Fighter), Eric (Paladin), and Presto (Mage). Also featuring kawaii little Uni the unicorn. :) Led by omnipotent Dungeon Master, they battle orcs, nightmare realms, and all sorts of nasties while trying to find their way home.

Whether they were gobbled by Tiamat I think is open to speculation. :D

Is that the cartoon where they all got a magical weapon, and they have to live as a team in order to save themselves? I loved that show, but don't know what it was called...

Anyway, an obvious one was the Elvis pictures upstairs of an inn in the bridge district.

Yep, that was the show. :)

Hank had a bow with unlimited Arrows.
Susan had a Cloak of Invisibility.
Presto had a wizard's hat.
Eric had a magic shield.
Bobby had a club of strength.
Diana had a magic staff.

Hrm, I'll have to look for the Elvis thing next time I'm in the Bridge. :)

I don't really think that Susan was a cleric, since I've never seen her do some "magic" or cures in the series

And, come on, Eric as a paladin? Do you really know how paladins act?

Isn't Dracula a paladin before he renounce god? I just came up my evil pc's name: Count Dracula, a necromatic sorcerer, or a fallen paladin... :D

Hank had a bow with unlimited Arrows.

gesen bow or trademeet bow?

Susan had a Cloak of Invisibility.

imp cloak of protection +2?

Presto had a wizard's hat.

Eric had a magic shield.

shielf of reflection?

Bobby had a club of strength.

mauler arm the mace or crom feyr?

Diana had a magic staff.

Ummm, DnD the show was made when they had only Greyhawk to work with. The items are not to be taken at face value and have no bearing on the Sword Coast.

Trying to compare the cartoon to SoA/ToB would be trying to compare Blacula to V:tM. :D

A possible movie reference is the tanner guy in the bridge district. Seems like he's doing a "Silence of the Lambs" thing by making leather armour out of skin.

Susan was a thief and Diana an acrobat. The cartoon was on a rerun not too long ago here.
But I knew it even if it wasn't. :)

Close enough. My head swims with useless knowledge. Putting some in may mean other stuff goes out. :D
