Bridge quest - problems

Hi everyone,
I am having technical problems with the bridge quest. I talked to the ansfeld, the city guard. Now, I want to talk to the beggar, but he tells me he is dancing and that I should come later. ALso, I cannot talk to rose who tells me she does not want to chit chat.

I really would like to do the quest, how should I go about it.....?

Thanks a lot.

PS: I am using the TDD addin, might that have something to do with it?

im not sure if TDD addin would affect the quest somehow, but heres how you do the quest...

this is a spoiler

first talk to lt. aegisfield... he will talk to you about the mass murders. just say anything you want and go down to Rampah (the beggar).. ask him about the murders and he will say he knows nothing, but he will say he found something (which is human skin). ask him to give it to you and he will try to charge you 100 gold. keep saying you dont have that much money and you can get it for free.... the skin is all you need from the beggar; you are done with him. afterwards, he will be dancing whenever you talk to him. (Huckalagalalalalalala... Dance, Rampah! Dance!)

then, go to rose (the courtesan) and ask her for information. she will charge you 20 gold for the information, and this time you cant get information for less gold. she will say see smelled guril berries. go to Bel Dalemark (the merchant next to Rose Bouquet) and ask him what smells like guril berries and also ask him to identify the leather you got from Rampah. he will say its elephant hide... for now, go back to rose bouquet and give her the samples. now you are ready to go to tanner's and talk to him. just flow with the dialogue (ask him about the murders and say youve found evidence and such)

when you try to kill or capture him he will run away to the basement. in the basement there are bunch of traps. here you can find human skin (you can actually use this to make an armor later on) and other loots (potions and such)

Argh

@karlg:

Im having the exact same problem, the quest won't 'start'.
My journal doesnt get updated or anything, although Aegisfield acknowledges the fact im trying to solve it.
I can't talk to Rampah or Rose either. I did complete the quest eventually (or at least get the XP), because i wanted to move on, maybe not a wise decision, but oh well:

SPOILER (i guess?)

If u kill Rampah yuo can loot the skin and talk about it with the merchant. Then when u run to the Tanner he won't say anything interesting, neither can you confront him with anything, but when you start attacking him he will talk about his business and runs off downstairs, then follow him, and you'll find out about his evil business etc etc. I did get the Exp. when i reported back to Aegisfield, and my journal got 'updated' with the quest after defeating those Rune Assassins in the basement, but this isnt really how it's supposed to be done, and wasnt very satisfactory either :(

So, does anyone know if some patch/fix/update/anything solves this? or have i done something wrong?

If you're having that problem, just go into the Tanner, and attack him.

I have TDD and didn't have any problems starting the quest or talking to the begger or the harlot. I have not completed the quest yet, but there is no reason why I shouldn't expect things to go on as planned.

Do you have the latest patch for TDD installed?

If you still can't talk to the girl or the begger, just go to the tanner's place, do all of the dialogue trees available for him and eventually he'll confess to being the murderer anyway.

I don't get any dialogue trees, probably because i haven't been able to talk to the beggar or Rose...
