Do You have to "do" the Tower (obviously wiith TOB installed)before the final battle with jonny in SoA or can the tower be accessed after Saradush?

It can be accessed anytime in SoA and ToB, if you're free to travel the map at that time of course.

In case you start in SoA and want to finish it in ToB don't forget to take the wardstone and the scroll with you ...

The good thing about ToB is that your progress in WK is saved. Get through lvls 1 and 2, finish SoA, come back in ToB and finish WK. Pretty nice. :)

But as said before, remember to get the wardstone and scroll, or you're in for a rude awakening...

Suggest NOT going to the Keeper till you get to TOB. Considering that most of the stuff you get there are worthless unless you can reach Cespenar.

Also buy from the priest of Helm before you go to the final area in the Keep. I messed that up but managed to save myself by picking a fight with them and keeping them from leaving so I can buy the good stuff off the priest before we did battle.

I disagree. The ammo belt is certainly worth it alone. The Staff of the Ram is a fine weapon even before upgrading. Concerning the stuff sold outside: The Short Sword of Mask is the best short sword you can get in SoA even without the upgrade and the Firetooth crossbow is the perfect iron/adamantite golem killer, besides being a deadly weapon anyway. The real problem with doing WK during SoA is that you get too strong to enjoy SoA. Eg going to Underdark with everyone having HLAs seems funny at first, but gets boring quite soon.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that some people go to WK straight after getting out of Irenicus's dungeon.

That seems pretty loco -- I wonder just how far down can you get...

Imagine doing the circus tent quest in the Promenade after WK... lol

You can do level 1 and 2 early without facing real problems. Level 3 is a different matter, because you'll have to deal with groups of powerful enemies in dead magic areas and the like. I remember that the thiefling party and the baatezu party were absolutely no fun and after losing all my money due to a wild surge in the wild magic area I stopped doing WK in chapter 2. I went to far nevertheless as I found out later, my party grew much too powerful in the first two levels.

I have to agree about not doing WK until ToB - however I did go there in Chap 2 or 3 to get the ammo belt and potion bag which makes management of all items easier - I remeber finishing SoA the first time and how much of a pain it was to carry round all that crap
