One Thread for the beautiful Ladies of SYM...

..since I'm bored again....

So, dear Ladies, humor me, and tell me the worst pickup line that's ever been used on you (IRL and virtually ;) ) .

If I'm to nosy for you - you don't HAVE to answer this but you could instead enjoy yourself here: Bad Pick-UP Lines
:D

No worries,

Beldin

From the site:
Woman asks, "Excuse me, do you have the time?"
You : "Do you have the energy?"
:D
I'f she doen't hit you then....you might have a chance! ;) :D

You know, just as a thought, calling a thread "One for the girls" may not be the most...tactful way of addressing women if you wish to receive their comments. ;)

What would you recommend, ancient one ? ;)

No worries,

All pick-up line are bad, the very concept of pick-up lines is bad.

I agree, it should happen spontaneously. I've never tried pick up lines nor have I felt the need to do so.
They can be funny though. :D

What about...

..."what's your name, or can I call you mine?" followed immediately by a deafening slap and smack. :D

Well, for starters, don't call me ancient one, or I'll put my canes to ya where the moon don't shine. :) As for topic titles, you might consider Worst Pickup Lines According to the Ladies. Just an idea, and it's certainly respectful enough. At least, you'll leave SYM on your next trip with all your equipment intact. ;)

Absolutely correct, but that doesn't keep men from using them ;) .

Nobody ever said we were sophisticated :D ..

No worries, I'm not going to try them out - I just want to know.

Respectful - yes.

A "catcher" - no.

You might consider , oh temporarily advanced one :D ; that a discussion on "BAD PICK-UP LINES "might well be headed by one ;) . (Just think of all those advertising slogans...)

For further consideration I beg of you keep in mind that I'm still learning this language that you have been born with, even if it was a while before my appearance on this planet. ;) (OK, so my father was very shy. Otherwise I would be 10 years older. ;) Will you hold that against me :D ?)

And last not least - since you give "writer" as your profession in the "anatomy" - thread you, above all, should know that the BEST ideas always "arrive" in your brain AFTER you've written something ;) - and since the "edit" functionality of GB doesn't extend to the threadname I'm stuck with what I've done, and I sincerely hope that the Ladies of SYM won't hold a grudge for this. :)

I'll try not to repeat that faux-pas, I could not stand the thought of taking of with your means of locomotion wedged in my darkest place and leave you stranded in front of your computer. ;) :D

Yours truly,

Beldin

Probably just the website. :D

I wonder which is better; Vehemence's encyclopaedia or Brink's Romance 101 in the certain website? Hmmm...

The worst one I've heard was on a commercial for car insurance.

"Hey, I lost my phone number, can I have yours?"

Someone actually tried that on me once. My answer: "42" :D

A lady friend of mine had the same experience... she gave the guy the number of a police station... :D

"Wanna help me bury a bone?" Is one of the best I've heard. Though I would never try it, of course... :D

Nice one, Aegis...why on earth wouldn't you try it. Nobody really gets hurt. You act like a jerk, someone you'll never see again will confirm you're a jerk (and maybe soak you with a drink or give you a slap), and your friends get to hoot and holler about it. Besides, there are plenty of good comeback lines for the ladies.
