Just a big Hi too all members of BotB and especially the Magi Wing, a friendly Neutral Good sorcerer here. Just a few questions.
What are people aiming for in the sorcerers? I was planning to do illusionary/defensive to complement other players, but im just wondering what the other sorcerers are doing?
And, can i change my stats, i made a small boo boo.
Look forward to playing in Argyle with you all when NwN is out!

Hi and welcome Midnight! I'm the head of Divine wing but I'm welcoming you nonetheless.
What are people aiming for is sorcerors? We can't say that, it's your decision on what you want to do with your character, you can PM or mail Xandax and he should help you out with your stats.

Heh...
I think you misunderstood me. I have chosen to go illusion/defensive, but im wondering if the other sorcerers had any ideas on what they might specialize in. Just curious.
And thanks!

Ah.... LOL, sorry! I think that people can't really plan they type of Sorceror you will be, you are limited with your spells!

Gah, Nippy...you're batting zero today.

The fact that Sorceror's are limited in the spells they can cast is all the more reason to lean towards a certain area, so they can study spells of that type. For instance, a young sorceror grows up in a country side continually ravaged by bandits. Perhaps they burn down his home and he develops an intense hatred towards them and wants nothing more than to hunt down and kill every last man. He would prolly lean towards desctructive spells.
Now say you have an young Empress that is thrown into politics at an early age. She discovers she has magical abilities, and these abilities can be used to sway those she dictates or negotiates with. She might very well work with dominating and mind-controlling spells.
Or what about the servant and protector to this Empress. He might harness his powers towards protecting his Empress.
Basically, Midnight, I think you should, as you develop your character's background and personality, think on why he/she is studying protective and illusionary spells. Sorcerors have a tremendous innate power, and something is going to determine how they use that power. What is it for your character? That's a rhetorical question, by the way.

Tell me about it! It might be because I'm recovering, I got into the U-19's GB squad for aquahockey, I've been celebrating to say the least...
