Any use for it? Anyone done much testing with it or have the chart of effects if used?

Thanks for your time.

I do not think I have used the wand. Sounds like it might fun to play around with. Until you bring up some nasty you can not take care.

Let me no what happens this could be a neat experiment.

And welcome to the board.

It is worth a nice sum of gold so selling it does make sense......after a few trials and reloads of course. I was mainly curious if anyone had run across a chart of possible options on the wand (like the chart for Wild Magic supplied in ToB).

Thanks for the comments....

I have not seen any such chart for the wand. But maybe some one else has such a chart. Maybe I will check in SK could be something there.

Wand of Wonderful Cheese Tactics :)

Hey, just thought I'd pass this along. The Wand of Wonder got me through a few really difficult fights, although it's somewhat cheesy...

For some reason, the 'petrification' works wonderful against dragons... maybe they have a bad saving throw against it or something. But I _could not_ take out Shadow Dragon and I had the wand of wonder... So I kept pointing it at the dragon because he doesn't become violent until you hit him.

Usually took only 4 or 5 times until it hit petrification and turned him to stone. Of course, you don't want to hit him when he's turned to stone or he'll shatter (along with any items). So I had my cleric cast stone to flesh which revived him... Still not hostile, but only had 1 hp. So my fighters whacked at him until they hit him. When they hit him, he becomes violent, but he only has 1 hp so he also becomes dead :)

Yeah, cheesy, but just watch out for cloudkill unless you're ready to start a fight.

Excellent stuff. That was exactly what I was looking for. I think the 15K of gold will probably do me better since it's difficult to "plan" your attack appropriately with a wand of this sort.
