Is there any way to prevent Irenicus from draining your and Imoen's soul at spellhold? or is that unavoidable? and also how much time do i have left to live after he drains it?

Just wanted to know before I ran through Bhodi's maze.

It's part of the basic plot. You have no more control over it than you (or I) have over the senseless need to spend money and time on games like this.

It isn't time related, take all the time you want. (the longer you take to finish the game, the more fun you'll have of it! )
