I've just started a new SoA game, with ToB installed a few days ago. Iv'e been thinking about the party I want, and iv'e decided it will be made of:

Artemis, an elven fighter/mage (multi), profs in dual wield, long bows+swords, later in katana.
Minsc, will SK him to a swashbuckler, then dual him to a cleric at level 10 (no flaming plzz). Profs in dual wield, flails, maces, slings.
Korgan, well, you know. Dual some axes (I've downloaded a HUGE pack of items from IWD - some really cool axes there!!!!). no ranged ability.
Jaheira, changed her profs to 2H weapon style, and use spears and QS, sling for ranged. Also a romance.
Edwin. Too cool to leave behind. Will not fight with minsc because TOB installed.
HearDalis, I just love this guy. Will change his profs to 2H weapon style, 2 handed sword (probably Carsomyr after use any item), and halbreds, Xbow for ranged.

I really like this party, all funny chars (well, except jaheira, but she is my girl , pretty strong party, but my question is:

How would you USE this party in combat? What tactics, strategies, and the like??
For example, my tactic is:
Artemis and Hear are always loaded with (minor) sequencers with defensive spells (blur, mirror image..) and contigencies (sp?), and ALWAYS stoneskined. They both cast a quick spell from behind, then rush into combat (tensered if it is a boss fight).
If korgan is far, hear is going into defensive spin and he is a REAL tank that way.
If korgan is close, than hear activates offensive spin and starts beating up. Meanwhile, minsc is spliting heads with his two flails (he is also buffed up), and jah is summoning and fights from the second line. Of course, edwin casts spells all this time.

So what are your tactics?? Is mine looks fine?? It is a fun one for me...

it's a bit too much of a general question to be answered very well. Maybe you should ask 'how should I fight vampireswith this party', or 'how should I fight mindflayers'....

no, i dont want specific tactics - i want general tactics, like what i've wrote in my example. im just curios about other people tactics that can fit my party.

and what about Cast & Attack??
i've read about it in Xyx's guide but i cant seem to make full use out of it.

Strategy is brilhant when your enemy are stronger. When is almost impossible to win. Think , think , try try and them you got it. I think your group is too complex and too big for the need of miraculous strategies. And a little repetitive. See Artemis and Haerdalis have the same function, you only need one. Both also nulify korgan and Minsc, that as a cleric also nulify Jaheira. With this group you only need to send attack, 3 seconds, all enemys in the floor. My best strats were made when I was playing me and Haerdalis(I prefer him in dual-wield), the dificult estimulate the strats.
See, Haerdalis is almost a group himself, drop a few members.

Sorry, but I need to flame you about Minsc. WTF!! How to you get a swash buckler cleric from a ranger with wisdom 9!!! WHAT!!

Anyways, you have 5 good front line fighters, take it to em melee style and leave edwin back to hammer em with spells like horrid wilting, chain lighting and dragonsbreath. Use Jaheria, H'D and your PC to cast extra buffs and low time cast spells during and before the battle. H'D improved bard song is also extremely useful.

i want to play 6 members party so i can get many dialouges and interactions.
and i don't think it's too strong, cuz i'm playing cheese free, with baldurash patch and many enemy AI patches, AND i'm playing on insane.
it's FUN for me, and that's what counts
