Rather than posting all new threads when someone famous dies (they seem to be dropping like flies lately) I’ve made this topic. From now on we can just look here instead. So R.I.P. Milton Berle 93, Billy Wilder 95, Duddley Moore 66, and Randy Castillo 51.

Personally, I'd still rather post separate topics for people who die. I don't want to recognize a cemetary; I want to acknowledge an individual. Do what you will, but so will I.

Ah, so you're focusing more on a wake for the respected dead rather than the obits themselves.
Exactly. It's not the facts that matter to me, but the effects they've had on the people they've touched. That sounds a lot more squishy than I would have liked.

Aww, you sound just like a care bear fable. (You can be Deathbear). Back on topic, here are some obit links (not that I'm morbid or anything).

Thor Heyerdahl died? The same man who did the Ra II and Kon Tiki voyages...from Africa to North America? The same guy who attempted to make a different theory from the Beringia Land Bridge one?

Thor's been dead for six months now. It was fairly well publicized. I guess you just missed it.
