Problem with Dual Class

Hello,
I've started a game of SoA (with the most recent patch) and I also have ToB installed (no patching done). My problem is that I am in chapter 2 and wanting to Dual class my Human Kensai, but the dual-class button is never highlited. Is there somewhere I need to go? Do I have to wait for something? (my Kensai is 9th level).
As an experiment I started a new game with just a plain jane human fighter, should I not be able to dual right away to something else? (again the button is not available)
Thanks for any help

your stats have to be high enough for the requirements of the class you are dualing to. if you have really bad stats, or maybe just really mediocre ones, you wont be able to dual to any class.

But I cant even access the Dual Class option, therefore I am not even selecting what class I want to change to... btw my stats are ok.

i think you need at lest 17 in the primary stats for both the kensai(str and con) and the one you want to dual to ex mage (int) try that if it dosent work then i dont know

Btw if you dont want to replay from the begining use Shadow keeper to boost your stats (this i dont consider cheating)

You are all wrong guys!
To dual you need:
15 in the primary stat of the INITIAL class
17 in the primary stat of the next class.
And you have to consider other restrictions: only Humans can
dual, some classes have restrictions about alignment, and so on.
