annoying problems with kensai sorc cleric druid deathbringer hive mother beholder...

ok, was going to field test kensai cleric sorc until I get morrowind in my hands, and play that. found something interesting about adding cleric spells to sorc. you cast at stinking 10th level. you see, if you add cleric spells to a class that does not accept dual classing, like the sorc, your cleric spells cast at default scroll level, level 10 or so. sigh, I really liked this class.
I even dumped stoneskin in sorc table so I can use ironskin, whcih cannot be breached.
so the limits of this class is you must really know spells and choose spells like detect traps, independent of spell caster level for effective ness. unfortuantely, the really good spells I coveted, like righteous magic, are caster level dependent. but I could slim down spell table even further, and keep like natures beauty and few spells. hardly seems worth it, though. experiements over, the most lethal hacked class, without kit editing are....
kensai sorc with extra spells, about 7 per level, really lethal spell table for major cheese tech and great offensive arsenal for spells...choose evil in hell and you can basically cream any monster with 21 str.
kensai assassin sorc, add quest thief traps and poison weapon for ultimate in cheese.
add a few balthazar innates and anti magic ray and poison weps to sorc kensai, for new abilites fun. shadowless kick is awesome!!!

well, I think i go back to perfecting my kensai sorc, for maximum effect, just figured out how to add the bhaal powers draw on holy might, which does not get taken awy from you and actually reads your char level.
this game I will hack my poor party, make immie elven, and she becomes a multi mage assassin, jahirea is of course, a totemic druid fighter, neutral good, and aerie can be a conjuror cleric or cleric of lathander mage.
take edwin or viccy along for spice, and make viccy cleric of talos, and subtley mutate every one i take along. hmmmm....give minsc books of stat increase, and turn him into a dual ranger cleric, or multi, and mazzie into undead hunter...
any ideas???

anyway my char is a sorc with
greater whirlwinds, kai and evil kensai bonuses to hit and whack people, the hive mother beholder refers to anti magic ray, innate lv 8, called hive mother anti magic ray. this is ultimate weapon, will punch thru anything, including staff of magi spell trap, undispellable by anything else, and also causes miscast magic for 3 rounds, no save. best of all, it does not turn blue circles red!!!
shadowless kick is a balthazar ability, works just like smite except you cant resist it, I think, I dont like it much, harp of pandemoduium is far more useful, and ring of ram better tactically.

Snakes kicking is one of the combat oddities found in the online MMORPG Everquest - along with rhinos and elephants dodging or spiders parrying and riposting.
The reasons relate to the way the EQ combat system works, and are hardly game unbalancing - they're just humorous in a mildly silly way.
Seeing the "how does a beholder kick?" just set off a reflex, I guess.

will post on sep thread, but really simple. been doing for a while now, so got it perfected. Some kits, not all, will dump lines into "affects" section of sk, so if you change teh class via sk, you keep the lines!!!
kensai kit puts +1 to damage, and +1 to hit and +1 to armor lines in the affects as you level up, so change to wildmage/cleric, you still keep the killer thaco and to damage bonuses!!!and kai, but kai sucks. too short duration. me, with my killer wildmage kensai cleric druid, can get righteousmagic and do 45+ damage per hit with righteous magic, and it lasts many many rounds. also increases str to 25, but thats ok, add with draw on holy might at low levels.
this does not always work, as I dont think backstab modifiers are "translated" correctly if you convert from thief. i know for sure poison weapon is not, due to abortive attept with converting assassin cleric to kensai mage multi.
aranan, here is something to really shudder about...with kit specialist mage, wildmage, and edwins amulet, I can cast 11 nrd, and 10 impr chaos shield. the way it workd with nrd, I always CAST FIRST, it bypasses acuity, and if my first spell happens to be imp acuity, bwahahahaha!!! each nrd can be seen as 11 dragon breaths!!!!
add chain contingency 6 earthquakes, and both dragon and eathuake bypass magic resist, and while I cannot nrd cleric spells, I can nrd chain contingency to shoot my remaining killer cleric AND DRUId spells very fast. fun is a triple chain of
globe of blades(think a thousand vorpal blades humming around you, cast greater malison, and walk up to a dragon and watch it die!!!)

natures beauty(auto blind!!!)
