Bug or what?

When I begin Chapter 4 and land at Brynnlaw for some reason all of my "toolbar" things are gone until I press spacebar (pause). In other words the screen was as if I was in a cut scene... only I had all control over my characters... maybe there's just a button I need to press or something to bring the bars back up? Whatever the case, this current thing is fairly annoying...

I think the button is H, enables and disables the tool bar from the screen. Go into config, and check out what the hot keys say.
