Help im stuck

HI all im new too this but ive been playing the vampire masquerade and ive got up too newyork and im stuck on the part where u talk too devnull it wont let me get too him its as if theres an ivisible wall infront of him does anyone no how i can get past this are am i stuck like this for ever pls help me

This a common problem with the game, and I've spent the last few days trying to remember how to bypass it. I'm pretty sure you don't need to be right next to him in order to talk to him, but you do need to click on him. I wish I could help further, but it's been over a year since I have played the game, and never encountered the problem myself.

Ive come straight into the room and clicked on him and chirs runs up and then hits the wall he cant go any further ive tryed it with all my characters and it does not work i cant get too him

I've also had a problem with the game. Although I haven't played it in a very long time, I got as far as killing Orsi(I think that's his name) and trying to speak to the three female vampires in the factory.
I could speak to them, but when it came time to select what you want to say, it won't let me, just sits there not letting me do ANYTHING.
I think I remembered looking for a patch but don't know if I found one or not.
