I think the Barbarian is the most powerful class mainly because of the rage ability. My second choice would be the Inquisitor.

The most common thread on this forum hehe. But an interesting debate it is, the outcome is still pending. However I can now reveal that THE MOST POWERFUL class is the Sorceror. Many will disagree, a few will agree... I gues USER will argue that the kensai/sorceror/cleric/hive mother/deathbringer is the most powerful and he is probably right...
IMO it is close between the gnome fighter/illusionist and the Sorceror but the Sorceror is slightly better in one fight... the fighter/mage has more stamina.

solo party, hack no hack, party size????
solo, fighter mage cleric, evil beyond belief with xp cap remover. or fighter mage thief.
hack? kensai sorc, my special editiion, version 5.7 or so.
small party, any multi class, figher cleric is superb pure killer, fighter mage is also superb, better than kensai mage dual if you have small party so you level up fast. cleric mage for pure spell caster fun.
large full, party of 6, dual class. kensai mage, or kensai cleric are both superb killers.dual class is better for large party since you need to levle up fast. berserker mage is killer too, with many important immunites, which admitted can be had using devices, but will allow you to use enrage to replace, more stuff to spread around and enrage is really good defensively.
pure classes?
inquisitor, superb kit, get high dex and str and you beat keldy for everything.
sorc for pure spell casting evil beyond beleif, but very, very labor intensive, due to plotting spell table.
over all, you cannot go with sorc for
1)best spell caster around, will beat edwina to pulp and stomp on remains. only cleric mage MAY be better.
2) this kit cannot be covered by npcs, unless you sk edwin into sorc.
3) a properly setup sorc, will eat anything for breakfast and still be HUNGRY. use cheese, sorcs are the best for cheese, use simmy and project image.
if you did NOT install the full eng patch for tob, you can create a cleric wildmage fighter, using sk, and possibly use cntrl h to set wild surge tables, and then apply full eng patch. not sure if this can work, but this is by far the most evil char createable. best fo cleric spells, triple earthquake can take down anything, and with controlled wild surges, your cheese factor goes way up.

thanks bruce for the support, but have decided
wildmage kensai cleric is better if you control wild surges, due to enhanced killing via cleric spells,
kensai sorc cleric does not work right,
pure kensai sorc, with RIGHT innates is as good as kensai wildmage cleric. and you can dump the really annoying wild surges that

My votes, speaking only about pure POWER, without considerations
about fun, roleplaying and so on...
Solo: Fighter/Mage/Thief
Small Parties: MAYBE Fighter/Mage
General situation: Berserker/Mage
So I'd say Berserker/Mage as he rocks in EVERY situation...

User, ever thought about zipping up your creations and putting them here for us mere mortals to try?
My most powerful UNHACKED characters, in terms of number of kills, must be the berzerker and monk.
For ROLEPLAYING, I kinda like the Blade and Inquisitor; that's just me of course.
For POWERGAMING GOODNESS and FASTEST KILLS, I love the Assasin/Mage combo.

Im playing a F/M/T solo right now, and i must say its not hard...
Im wearing RoV and Amulet of Power so spell casting time aint a problem here. Bracers of AC3, so my AC is -6 now.
Backstabing damage x5, with Celestial Fury (Daystar on Undead and Evil) off hand: Dak'kon's Zerth Blade.
He is kind of powerful..

def agree on bezerker or monk
the ammount of stuff you become immune to is incredible, not to mention hitting power, vs the game the ftr types are very powerfull, esp. witht the tob expansion.
a good aligned monk will have an almost 100% mr near the completion of soa.
never cared much for the assassin / mage though, your results may be different.

I was thinking Spike Traps, Use Any Item, back stabbing and spell casting. Seeing dragons and the like going *POOF* by traps without getting hit is sometimes quite funny and a sight to behold.
Try it some day, it's fun.

(what level are you dc'ing at?)
i've played a few straight / dual / multi thieves and it's always seemed that the ftr / thief types were "better" imo, an elf ftr/thief is easily the best mix of combat ability and thief sneakyness, whirlwinds, any item, backstab & traps, yikes!. (and no inbetween time when you are either a poor thief or weak mage)
the traps rock, almost too powerfull...

I dual classed at 15.

Guess I can't argue with that. A fighter/ thief would be a better solo choice with little "in-between down time". Just wanted to try the different spells in SOA and take it to a whole new level in TOB. (Think Time Stop, Mirror Image, Simulcrums <hey, double the traps!>, Chain Contingencies, Magic Missiles, etc).
I played my Assasin/ Mage in a party of 4 which makes levelling up a cinch in the early stages.

how do you get spike traps when dualing at level 15?
Multi is better imo.

I cheated. It's powergaming after all
Multi sounds good in solo. Will try it.

ok, where can I upload the lastest version of the
kensia sorc hive mother beholder death bringer?
should include a text file for explaining the powers...I like to whack everything myslef, so the party has jahiera as neutral good totemic druid fighter, and the kensai sorc is at level 40, so you cannot use unless you have safe xp cap remover for tob.
also gave myslef black razor and life taker, the best level draining items in game, for a bit of challenge....yes, challenge with uber weapons, you actually have a good chance of whacking enemies so hard, you level drain to death, they shatter, like petrification, and good chance of loosing loot.
someone give me a good place to submit, and I will...
koz ivan, you use sk to take a theif mage, multi, and as long as you are ELVEN, it works right, apply the assassin kit instead of true class, and you too can shoot POISONED melf minute meteors, or poisoned energy blades or BLACK BLADE of DISASTER.
with jahiera you cn eventually use poisoned fireseeds, think cyanide based hand grenades...

melf's and poison? eeek
i assume that works if you dual an assassin to a mage too?
at least there would be no sk involved.

@User: That is a yummy character you have there! My ignorance is really showing here, I was thinking that you could upload the files right here like you did for your BUN BUN bmp. Is your file very very big?
I wonder if you could post it on a Yahoo site like Xyx's here?
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IEEAIS/fi ... Beholders/
Or perhaps Kevin's Baldurdash site at
http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/tweaksandcheats.html
I'm sure he won't mind having your creations there as he already has others.
Or maybe *desperation and hope creeping into voice* even email it?

@koz-ivan
Yes, you need to use sk for the dual assasin/mage to use the poisoned melf minute meteors and poisoned energy blades that User has in mind. No sk needed if it's just a normal dual.
