Scratched CD

Unfortunately, since I've had it for a while, my 5th Baldur's Gate CD is quite scratched. It's so scratched that I can't access a lot of Baldur's Gate city, so my game just freezes
The exact files that I am missing (I did manage to salvage SOME files) are:
area0300.bif
area0600.bif
area060A.bif
area070A.bif
area1100.bif
area1200.bif
area120A.bif
area120B.bif
area1300.bif
Does anyone know where I can get them?
The Baldur's Gate 1 bug bit me again

Having a CD for a while shouldn't mean that you have scratches. That's the result of poor caring for CDs, of any age. A decent jewel case can keep a CD like new for many years.
If some of the files are inaccessible, call Interplay tech support. Since you have the full game, they should be supportive.

My game didn't come in jewel cases. It only came in the cardboard holder thingy
(I don't have any extra cases lying around either)

Yeah, I have that dreadful cardboard thing too and my CD's are scatched too hell becuz of it. I found that if you copy the area files that your having trouble with into the cache folder, they load and should run fine.

My game to came in that anoying cardboard, the first thing i did was get me some plastic CD-cases!!!!

ugh, my baldur's gate 2 CD 2 got scratched really badly also, i would just have it laying around because it was too annoying to put it in and out of its case. My BG1 cd's didn't come in a jewel case either, they came in those stupid paper cases that i can never get the CD out of. with those though i found some extra slim jewel cases to put them in. I like the skinny jewel cases, they take up a lot less space, i think they should have the actual games come in them instead of only having blank CD's come in them.

I don´t know where you live, but in holland 90%off all games came in normal cases.
Baldur´s gate was an exeption with his idion cartboard cast (from witch the CD's dropout to easy).
Now DVD-boxes for normal games are very common here (Witch is anoying cause they only hold 1CD so if the game is larger the rest of the CD's are in paper (i repeat PAPER) cases)

Well, you could try to take it to a music or game shop and have the scratches grinded off. You'll just have to find a place that has the grinding machine. This might be less hassle than sending away for a new disk.

Not always poor handling; my friend has a CD-ROM drive that "ate" away his NHL 98 and MY Warcraft II...
Brazilian BG1 came in pratic plastic sleeves, thank Helm for that. Guess the poorly translated manual was the price to pay for good packaging.
