hi,

i recently reached my experience limit. So i had to go to the store to buy ToB, but it takes time to find the motivation to do this, so i started another game (a half-orc cleric) just for fun. Everything went well till i was to name my charactar: the name was allready there (667676766676676767 or something like that) and i could not change it. A little pissed i started playing but my screen kept scrolling in vertical direction (don't know how to say it otherwise).

What is wrong?

The name problem dousn't sound familiar, i had the scrolling problem, but i could solve it by restarting BG2.

Maybe you should try again, about the XP cap you can download a remover here.

It's really starting to wear on my nerves. I did a reinstall (full), but nothing changed... well nothing that would do any good: instead of 6767676676767767 it now says 888888888888888888.

grmpll.... why me.

maybe a keyboard problem? 8 on num keys is cursor up, so it might b stuck or something, and cause both 888888... and scroll up.
i dont really think thats it, but still u could try another keyboard.

I have had problems with a game pad of my brothers being hooked up and just kinda taking over. I couldn't figured out why my mouse kept moving on it's own til I discovered the thing hooked up(without me knoing it had been) and wedged so the pad was moving my mouse to the right constantly.
