I posted something like this on the tob forum, a fairly cheesy method of turning a multi mage/cleric into a severe killing machine in mellee (more for humour value than anything else, it funny to see Aerie standing toe to toe with fire giants and winning)

Its all about getting stuff to do whats its not supposed to, thats what it ALL about, like when ppl post about what bow imoen should use.. does it matter!? is there an arrow that can compete with abi dhalzims? or even flame arrow!!! NO! (maybe gesen bow firing arrows of detonation or something but thats not the point!)
The point is imoen is not an archer but people try and try, and keep trying and cheese and dont stop until she is dammit! Thats what this game is about, making stuff do what its not supposed to (and macking things like kensai/sorc/druid/wildmage/redragon/bhaal/helm/solar/demogorgans, though I dont think ive ever seen one of those, its only a matter of time though...)

I cast boon of lethander one day, then rightous magic, then had somone improved haste me for 4 attacks with staff of the ram +6 always max damage and I began thinking...

This is an extension on that basic thingy, for a dual class cleric lethander / mage. Cleric needs two lvl 7 spells (steal somone elses holy symbol when you have one, lol)
Memorize following spells : Champions strength, Rightous magic, Aura of flaming death, regneration, Spirit armour, armour of faith, draw apon holy might, rightous magic, tensers transformation, mirror image, blur, improved haste, chain contingency, contingency, minor sequencer, sequencer, spell trigger, black blade of disaster. Or in the case of chain contingency spell trigger and black blade you can simply use scrolls allowing you to do this at way lower lvl.
First summon a familiar and use the girdle of fortitude (unless you already have high con)

Place in chain contingency (enemy sighted) : Aura of flaming death, champions strength, Regeneration
Place in contingency : Rightous magic
Place in Minor sequencer : Armour of faith, draw apon holy might
Place in sequencer : Blur, holy power, mirror image
Place in trigger : Tensers transformation, imrpoved haste, spirit armour
Begin by casting improved alacrity, unless your low lvl in which case its not important (just sucks waiting) cast black blade, followed by boon of lethander, sequencer then minor sequencer then sight your enemy, allow contingencies to fire before casting spell trigger... Enjoy

The joy of this char... the true joy is that he needs NO items (unless you have low constitution then you might want to score a girdle of fortitude somewhere)
Cast these spells with NO items and you will find yourself with some -17 ac, -18 thaco, 4 attacks (with a +5 sword, thats got lots of nasty abilities like lvl drain) immunity to lvl drain, always hitting for max damage and about 90 additional hit points... a very amusing position for a goody goody cleric.

So after two battles, you will go to sleep, right? That will take a while.

Also, I think Priest of Lathander are the good priest, and stealing the holy symbol seems to collide with his/her nature.

Otherwise, a very interesting way to buff up your characters...

the problem with the nasty, but cute aerie of destruction is the lousy attacks per round. aint no way around that. so may I suggest the following...

gnome, blow your saves, then create a elven or gnomish kensai.

Add innates, use any item and possibly anti magic ray, with sk.

level him her up using clua console commands. level him up to what ever level you feel comfortable with, then sk him to cleric mage. change attacks per round from 1 to 5/2, or simply keep greater whirlwinds. you have a close approximation of kensai cleric wildmage hack, version 3.2 or so. boy, is this kit nasty, nut in terms of sheer power, the sorc kensai is better. cause the really killer spells of the cleric mage kensai is righteous magic and globe and aura, all cast at the same time, this creates a meelee monster. but imho, a kensai sorc with draw on holy mights( and death bringer, yummy!!!), (my latest version has holy mights that WONT be taken awy in chapter 4, ) beats this in sheer power, by a bit, cause, in case you have never played sorc, the sorc is the ultimate spell caster, capable of casting 30!!! spells per level at max level....

you can cast up to 6 spells per level, (more with rings and circlets) and you have five spells per level, so since a sorc is not bound by memorization slot rules, you can keep casting when edwin runs dry.

oh another trick, is to make the kits kensai, then cleric conjuror, give yourself edwin family amulet via sk, and have a gigantic spell pool. with circlet of netheril later, you have more spells than you know what to do with. sure you cant cast divination spells, but hey, the most important divination spell true sight and farsight, are provided by cleric!!!

this class has two nice perks, ability to buff up beyond reason, and chaincontingency earthqyake, the ultimate dragon killer. bypasses magic resist, and you cast free action to keep from getting stunned.

after fooling around with this combo for a while, and adding the best druid spells, you have got to try triple natures beauty, seriously kick ass, I got tired and went back to my true love, sorc based characters. even tried adding cleric spells to sorc, but another bust, serious game engine problems...

you gotta sleep alot, true but its more for the larf factor. I played through to yaga shura yesterday with the cleric /mage and only used the thingy thingy on guys like fire giants couse there hard to hurt wth spells and there stoopid fire wacks you through stone skins, so I just used earthquake ect against other stuff, as for the anti magic ray ect.... if your going to go into shadow keeper and make some crazy char that cant be made in the game and has monster innates... thats not really cheese.

Eg.. using Vhailors helm and spike traps to kill everything is cheese
Using a hive mother deathbringer beholder thingy built with sk is cheating
In the same way that endlessly killing fire giants with bows at saradush is cheese and Cluaing in the exp is cheating
In other words they both do the same thing, there both suspect methods of play (often the brunt of many a flame)
Just that cheating works better and faster
But cheese is more smart*** and easily defendable with "hey, its in the game.. so I can use it" ... depends on what you like I suppose
Personally I like the concience cleansing knowledge that if the baldurs ppl didnt want me to use spike traps and sim, they wouldnt have put it in the game
And I can help feeling all dirty when I use an sk'd char chalk it down to a natural afinity for cheating combined with a guilty concience

On the subject of cleric buffing spells, has anyone noticed Cernd has champions strength? didnt think druids could use it but hey, im not complaining, its handy
