While my semi-goody party of my Elf Assassin, Haer, Anomen, Viconia, Imoen and Jan were happily (?) adventuring in the Underdark, I noticed somebody was following me. A Shadow Thief looking person (not the crouching assasin style ones, a tallish leahter armor guy like Yoshimo) named Damien was following one of my NPCs (I think it was Viconia) and helped me in fights. Trying to talk to him resulted in the "Damien is too busy to talk to you" or something message and although he got lost sometimes, he always got back. He seemed to be a decent enough fighter and helped a bit, but eventually got killed at the lich tower in Ust Natha. I think he duplicated himself once when I entered the tower with a single pc too (the doors that let you go in by yourself, but are party required to leave there prob messed him up)...

Anyways, my question is: WTF??? Anybody know who this guy is?

Some of the NPC's in the game have messengers that will approach them, but sometimes the messenger fails to deliver the message and instead follows your party around. I'm not familiar with the name Damien - I'm looking through the game files to see which PC he is supposed to approach.
