Character creator????

In the CD of BGII I found there is program character creator.
It seems to me that creates new characters according to 3rd ed. rules.
What is its use??

It is the same character generator that comes with the D&D 3rd edition Players Handbook. It is for use with pen and paper D&D games. Basically just a bonus for us old school pnp players.
Play around with it a bit if you would like to get an idea of the kind of characters that you will be able to creat in Neverwinter Nights - which is based on 3rd edition rules.
