BG1 to BG-TOB

Post by Devils_Advocate »

Is there anyone else who's used the same char from BG1 to tales of the sword coast to BG2 to BG TOB. And is there anyway to import the char into future D&D games?

In my prev. game I started from SOA and imported to tob, for the second and the last time thru the saga I'm playing all the way to tob from bg1.

I think you will be able to import to NWN, but I don't see a reason for it because you will start from level one there anyway.

I've done it once- I played a theif in Bg/ToSC then became a Swashbuckler for SoA/ToB. It was my most enjoyable game. Plus I used the importing crack to get tuns of items from BG1 into SoA.

I played SOA my first time with an imported character. I had an Elven Ranger, I didn't play ToSC though, which I wish I did. It was fun though, I just wish I could have gotten Khalid and Coran in my party again, they were my two favorite characters. It seems they took all my favorite characters from BG1 and taunted me with them in BG2. I never really liked Jehera, though I really like having Minsc in my party, But I could never get Dynehier in time. Xar and Monteron were also a great pair, and Tiax was hilarous in BG1 especially paired with Xar and Monteron, if you managed to keep them in your party long enough. I kept saying to myself, dangit, why didn't they just kill off Kivan ... :P

I've played my first char through the whole series (BG1/TotSC/BG2/SoA). It was a LG dc F/M. Since I've reimported him in BG1 several times (while waiting for BG2 to be released) he had 23 CON and used to regenerate.
;)
Right now I have a human fighter in BG1 which I plan to play through the whole epic, guess I'll dual him to cleric around lvl 16+.

I've played several PC's through the entire BG series - a cleric (Priest of Lathander in BG2), a paladin (Cavalier in BG2), and more recently, a solo fighter-thief.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I've been through the entire series with a fighter specialized in shortbows. Currently about half way through SOA with a mage imported from BG1. Shame there was no sorcerer in BG1. Might try a bard next. :)
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.
I think I think, therefore I might be.
