no god mode available, sorry, but cntrl y work, just not all the time, and only if you have edited balder.ini, but contrl q works every tiem, but does diff things...

finmel01 will make you minhp 1 creature, but hoses your plot, no slayer transform, poly morph proof...

no idea what I am talking about???!!!

good...

the point is to read the posts, and you will see all the cheats and hacks and bells and whistles people have discovered in this very rich game...

no, we are not going to patiently sit down and explain how to cheat for you, but most of the people in this board will patiently help you if you have a hard battle, and discuss tactics for you, but asking for the universal cheats will be ignored...

so mean today am I...

bad bun bun, bad bunny...

cheats and cheers

Hey thanks for the cool reply.

I did a search, and quickly came across instructions for editing baldur.ini .... i did everything exactly the way they said.

all that happened was ... the "since this is your first time..." thing came up. So I followed the instructions again. Began playing. Nothing would work. Holding ctrl + space bar at the same time just pauses the game. anyway. I am gonna email the dude who runs the web page I found the instructions on. But his instructions correspond with instructions from a different page.

again, thanks for the reply.

I had some serious problems with Torgal, until I figured a way to lure him out by himself and leaving the Giant Trolls (or whatever) behind. You need to approach him while invisible, because he will then smell and talk to you, but the other Trolls will just sit there while their boss charges off. Killing Torgal in 6vs1 combat was relatively easy by major pre-battle buffing up spells etc and forming a firing line in the Umber Hulk room.

Dual Fireballs to start the battle off and just close in on him and whack away. The Torgal battle isnt very "tactical", its pretty brute force (and should be easy if your a decent level),

If youre still having trouble some suggestions

1) traps in the doorway, leave 5 outside and have 1 hasted lead him out.
2) use potions liberally. enhanced strength potions (giant strength), oil of speed, potion of heroism, all are excellent choices
3) de/buff spells. goes with 2 really. negative spells like domination on the troll guards, slow, confusion, and positive spells on you like defensive harmony, draw upon holy might, or haste.
4) summon animals/elements. keep them in front, let torgals and co. engage them and then send in your guys (so torgals targets the summoned animals)

Then just control the battle effectively. Distribute healing potions to the frontliners. Keep low hit point NPCs in the rear casting spells or using ranged weapons. Use pause liberally to control your people. Retreat those who are badly injured so they can heal (using potions or a cleric) Concentrate on one bad guy at a time.

This is really the most basic stuff. You really should be able to just walk in and whack him with virtually no preperation.

And playing God....really, why is that fun? There is no point other then making yourself feel powerful in a silly video game, the ultimate expression of powerlessness in the real world.

course, there is me and fan, who like to use god characters, first to see if they can be made, kensai sorc deathbringer hive mother beholder assassins, and experiment...torgals goons fell to 1 frag skull with g deathblow, and he got whacked with lilacor, the chortalling blade..ouch, the wit or the edge???

i think i found a problem with frag skulls, it counts as +1 projectile, right???

or is it the damned launcher??

clua ed in jans flasher bruiser launcer, since it looks cool, seems not to add anything to the projectile to hit effectiveness, not bonus, will try again with heavy crossbow of accuracy...

such a piece of junk it is, just +1...

torgal, and anath the wearwolf in umar hills, were not killed by frag skull, and g deathblow, and i recall them dying instantly when i was messing around the first time with g deathblow...grrr....

You needed cheat codes to beat DOOM? How'd you ever start to play this game? and If I recalled Torgal's fight ws quiet easy if you divide up the enemies and cast acouple dryads to cast some spells.

I used cheats to finish DOOM! That endless searching empty rooms and corridors for those yellow, blue and red keycards became a real pain after the first couple of levels.

Cheats

I don't know if your cheats are working yet, but here are they.

Insert this under [program options] in the baldur.ini

Debug Mode=1
NOTE: Do as I have written.

In the game Ctrl+space.

Ctrl+R. Heal member
Ctrl+Y. Kill monster
Ctrl+J. Move to mousepointer location

Write back if you want some more. I hope you have completed the game before you are using these cheats. Or else it is not fun.

Only use cheats after completed the game

hmm get shadow keeper
http://www.mud-master.com/shadowkeeper/
and edit stuff if you really need to but it shouldn't be that hard just to bash the guy on his own. If you really can't do it just leave level up a bit and then come back.

You can do that by setting the difficulty level to easy, or returning to a simple starter's quest (like the circus tent with the illusionist) after you've already been through, say, Spellhold. No cheats needed.

I applaud was UserUnfriendly's doing, finding creative, maniacal ways of using the BG2 code. He's not cheating. He's giving vent to his dementia. This is good. :)

Cheating just to be a god in a game--if this is what you're wanting--gets boring, very quickly. There's no challenge, unless it's to keep your eyes open as you fall asleep. You don't win at the end, because there was no thinking involved. The cheats do.

I'm not saying you can't do this. Hell, you buy the code, you can do whatever you want with it, as long as you don't sell copies of it. ;) Up to you.

Cheating in fps makes them MUCH more fun, if you ever try it properly and in the spirit of the thing you would find out.

ur wife plays FPS? wow, cool.

doom is nothing, there was, and will never be a better FPS than DUKE NUKEM 3D !!!

it runs on every crap machine, has all the advanced (now common) things like mouselook and such, cool weapons and stuff (nobody uses steroids nowadays :( ), an awesome multiplayer and an easy leveleditor. we mustve spent countless hours playin 1v1 on my crappy old notebook and my main comp...
that game r0x!

(oh btw i beat Duke3d and Doom2 w/o cheats on second highest difficulty, and later UT single at adept i think)

cheer up, guys, morrowind is a role playing, fantasy first person shooter...essentially a fps...

but with spell editors and potion makers and races and orcs and trolls and other fun things to hack at, or shoot, or fry with fire ball...
