ok, as usual, the user is too bummed lazy to post two topics, and concatenating two topics together....

for those who are fans of g deathblow area effect, using either arrows of detonation or frag skull from Big metal unit,a warning...

happend twice, once in red dragon and recently in spell hold, fired frag grenade, dripping with g deathblow effect...(sorta like super poison weapon....giggle....so proud of this cheese!!!)
ata bunch of vampires...yes, I checekd, they were regular vamps, not ancient vamps...did nothing!!! got immune to effect markers. so the first time, i thought, geeze, i clua in jans flasher bruiser mate cause it looked like a missile launcher, but maybe, despite my tests, the thaco of the launcher effects to hit modifiers, but I know frag grenades like every other magic missile in game, excpet +2,3,4 projectiles, is +1 to hit...

so i dropped ti in my fav trash pile, pile of stones in prominade, and got heavy crossbow of accuracy.

anyway, happend again in spell hold, when I faced bodhi...

i went "WTF!!!!" fired 5 grenades, none of them killed her vampire minions....

DONT FIRE FRAG GRENADES WITH G DEATHBLOW AT IMMUNE CREATURES!!

I fired frag grnade in red dragon lair at the mummys near the vampires, and i fired at spell hold at bodhi, since they were at the center of the group, and mummys and bodhi are above 12 th level...

so they did nothing, and counterintuitive to the way real world area effect weapons work, if you fire deathblow loaded grenades at a immune creature, non immune creatures near by wont notice it...you must fire at non immune creature for the area effect to take place and they all fall down....

sorta like domino effect, you have to hit domino to knock over all near by dominos, but if you hit table, nothing happens...

so be careful...this is a fun weapon, but target a standard vamp, not an immune bodhi or mummy, and g deathblow will snuff out their lives...

ok, has anybody gone thru tashia romance?????

id like spoilers on what the general plot line is about, and what happens when you emerge from underdark, cause thats suppose to be a big event in tashia...

also, any things i should watch for? michael said you cna sleep with phaere, no problem, but anything I should not do or say???

if you say witty and funny but nice things to her, her global

"tashiainterestmatch" increments or deincrements up to 6, at 6 you are good...

forgot to mention some stuff...g fire, earth and air elementals are totally vunerable to deathblow, but you have to deliver via high + weapon, since those guys are not vulnerable to +1 weapons...fire is, thogh, and it works great launched via frag, but sometime you have to get in with holy avenger, if you play bun bun...

liches, even if g death blow is delivered vai holy avenger, will not work...think lich immunity, eh???

its a stinking lv 1 innate, after all...

but aerie sanctuary and turn undead or sunbeams gets them every time...

At some point that Arilistillian shub comes back, and tashia being the fool sap she is runs of with him... they go to the cave in the forest of tethir and guess what? You gotta save her

Beware as its a fairly hard fight... though It will probably not stand up to userunfriendly lvls of cheese for long

two things to watch out for in der cave..
The first time I did this mean ol scrap I though it would be a real rolover like everything else had been, I was wrong though I had done EVERY goody goody quest before going to the underdark with only three people, tashia, myself (Bezerker / cleric) and keldorn and I had litteraly cleansed the underdark with imoen and solufein added including every little black skined heathan in ust natha so we were all fairly macho lvl.. I had also done bodhi and some the first three lvls of watchers waiting for the romance to pan out

Keldorn and myself and Solufein recieved a mellee leson by the elite bodygaurds... in numbers they cannot be beat without a fair amoung of poitions or a strong cleric (anomen or viconia) using mass cures ect
Imoen received a lesson in casting form the three rakshasan mages, who make liches look like idiots.. they have LARGE hit points, immunity to lvl 1 through to 5 spells, BIG mr and immunity to normal weapons.. so when they cast prot from magic weapons hurting them in mellee is impossible without high lvl dispell or remove magic

In the end I crossed wires and had imoen solufein and the summons take care of the mellee fighters out of sight and death spell threat from the mages, whilst me and keldy sorted out the mages, I still had to reload a number of times

you will actually feel guilty when you get the loot though, multiple amulets of power / rings of acuity ( i think theres a few rings of wizardry as well, not sure though) not very well though out loot if you ask me

Btw.. Kurosian is part of the Tashia mod I beleive.. have you met him yet? Charming fellow

considering I always think of doing watchers keep in chapter 2, bun bun is god...
and i have slaughtered all the drow before in ust natha for fun, g deathblow area effect is maybe my best cheese ever...

i need a good rumble to look foward too...

since you are running both souflin and tashia, and I am running tashia only, where can I meet this charming fellow? can he join party??

gnome, you did 3 lvs of wathcers waiting for romance to progress AFTER doing bodhi, right???

ooopssseee.....

i just got confirmation with michael, and based on what I have seen, once you hit chapter 3 or 4, accepting arans help and getting the assignment to whack bodhi, the romance timer is halted!!!!!

no dialog until you get out of underdark...

sorry buddy, you should have gone to watchers before talking to aran...


i never hit watchers before bag of holding, too annoying...

all those wonderful components, and no bag....ggggrrr....

I did three lvls of wactchers and bodhi waiting for the romance to pan out but no doubt clua would work just fine


Kurosian is part of the solufein mod... do the gaurded compound and he apears and tells you to hand over celestial fury, refuse and be prepared for one hell of a fight, and the katana he drops makes celestial fury look like a butter knife

Ahh... I see its the great king of cheese... let your humble minion of cheese congratulate you on your serendipitous discovery! I utilised your most wondrously destructive and logically impossible Greater Deathblow + Arrow of Detonation technique in the fight with Irenicus and his demons... Pity I didn't manage to get it ere I cleaned out the devourer's and eye tyrant lair... Could have been a heck of a holocaust... the Mindflayers yawning at the attack suddenly find themselves at the Dead God's domain and discovering that they were banished there because some idiot used a greater deathblow and fired a bomb at them...

BTW Tashia is a really cool character, worth romancing even if you don't want the cheesy extra Amulets of Power. Did you get her to speak to Salvanas? "Finally, a man who judges a book by its cover!..." And when you sleep with Phaere... "That was a wild ride back there! I could hear your screams..." or if you don't... "...Maybe you need a *real* elf! Hehe!"

The last battle isn't all that difficult, too... (maybe because my PC was too consumed by his obsession with tashia?)
Killed the Elite Guards with Solaufein tanking with Stoneskins + Prot from magical weapons, dispelled the idiot rakshasas and hacked to pieces with Keldorn, Solau, Jaheira, Anomen while my PC soloed Arilistan with whirlwind... man thats *one* angry man!

Well, I think Michael has done a great job on Tashia, but the end story in SoA is kinda... sappy...

Tashia - Ugh, I don't feel an aura of restoration at all.
Tashia - In fact, its quite the opposite
Arilistan - blah blah
Tashia - I'm leaving, now.
Arilistan - Tashia?
Tashia - What?
Arilistan - Die.
*BOOM*
Tashia - Death

bleargh... and to think I ran round the forests combing the area for her ere I rested... Ambulating in forested areas with a sense of urgency, yes?

And when you resurrect her, she suddenly throws herself at you... I mean, isn't there supposed to be a culminating effect as romances go... its talk, confide, flirt, then the "I love you" pattern right? Well I just think her confession is sorta too abrupt... that had me staring at my computer screen in sheer amazement.
