As I promised on the avatar page, I’m going to showcase a variety of different avatars (primarily movie based) over this month. I figured I might as well post an anthology of the avatars I have used previously, adding more as time goes by. So on with the show!

My very first avatar was an animated gif of a cackling Bowser from Super Mario RPG. It was fairly short lived, but I liked it.

My second avatar was by far the most popular. The infamous Disco Frog won me the prestigious Best Avatar award, as well being the image most associated with myself. It was/is the longest lasting avatar I’ve used as well.

I briefly tried out an avatar of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (from Late Night with Conan O’Brien) but it didn’t last long (popular opinion was against it. Like Sean Connery after Bond, it seems I was typecast! Still, I thought it was a good avatar. You be the judge!

I'm getting a surreal mental image of Spider-Man breaking out in a disco funk after swing from building to building while Staying Alive plays in the background.

I like the dancing frog. I think you should stay away from images and likenesses of other people/personalities/characters. This gives you a little more originality (of course, my avatar was lifted straight out of Star Wars, so you really don't have to pay any attention to my opinion at all).

are you saying kayless doesn't swing from building to building using superpowers he gained from a radioactive spider?

I don't know that our friend Kayless doesn't work for a newspaper as a photographer and that he doesn't have a danger sense, extraordinary strength and the ability to walk up a wall. However, I've seen no evidence of this behaviour out of him, so I will go with the assumption that he's really just a dancing frog.

So what are your superpowers? Do you hop around the swamp chasing nogoodniks and infecting them with warts? Do you use your rotating eyes to look out for danger? And I'll bet that your tongue makes you a big hit with the ladies. Are you the poisonous type of frog that fights against evil in the world, or is the disco dancing your only power?
