Why don't you just make a Human Sorcerer, then use Shadow Keeper to change the race. Characteristic page, set Race to Gnome; Appearance page, set Appearance to Mage Male (Female) Gnome. I believe that's all you need to do.

But don't gnomes get better savings then humans?
And dous 18 or 19 int make any difference for a sorcerer and if so, what difference?
BTW When i saw you browsing the forum i knew i would get a quick reply!

Yes, they do, forgot about that. This depends on your Constitution points, you can simply change this in Shadow Keeper - Saving Throws page; also the game recheck the figures everytime you level up, so you'll get the bonus when you level up as a Gnome (at least you should)
If you want to change them yourself, then lower the Saving Throws for [Rod, Staves, Wand] and [Spells] by a number depeding on your Constitution:
1 - Cons: 4 to 6
2 - Cons: 7 to 10
3 - Cons: 11 to 13
4 - Cons: 14 to 17
5 - Cons: 18 or higher
I doubt having an Int of 19 would have any benefits over 18 (for a sorcerer), since the difference is in chance of learning spells, and the amount of spells scribable per level - from 18 to 99. As far as I know, sorcerers have a fixed amounts of spells per level anyway, so it wouldn't make any difference.

Then why is intelligence a prime request for a sorc???
Then a sorc with an intellignece of 3 would be just as good as one with 20.

Well, you need at least 18 to be able to cast level 9 spells, and you need more than 9 to be able to cast any spells at all.

BG2 doesnt seem to enforce the min int for spells, at least for mages. Imoen's only got 17 and she can memorize and cast 9ths without any int buffing.

the racial immunites and bonuses are based on CURRENT level and racial type, and the game engine enforces that without using affects, so whatever your current race is, once you start levelling up you will get the new race perks...
so if you take human sorc, and change to gnome after picking out your spells, you will get the magic saves...
int as prime rec for sorcs...giggle...giggle...
thats the game definition of prime requisite...
will only affect two stinking things...what drawing star will do to main pc sorc character if you have deck of many things...and using certain items, and scrolls...
wisdom is more important, and and dex, and most sorc guides recommend keeping int low...dumb sorcs have a major advantage...very few 8 and 9th levels spells you want to cast from scroll tactically...freedom being the only exception i can think of, and I always get it, since the 9th level selection, once you get the quest goodies, suck...
after chain contingency, and timestop and energy drain....(giggle) not much left worth getting...

spell strike is useless...
breach for mages, and dealy blast fireballs for liches. you never need to remove spell protections in game as long as you use are effect weapons...
spell defense is even simpler...
mislead and spell immunity...
read xyx's guide...

good for bun bun, or mage fighter dual, bad for straight sorc...
limited to one stinking attack per round, and can destroy loot...
level drain too much, you get shatter effect just like cone of cold, and you can totally lose loot...
best way to use it is with g whirlwind, and only for major bad battles, it is nice due to vampire efefct, but prefer foebane for that, or blaxk razor..

What about the all-powerful chain-contingency???
