Well, off the bat, my life has become EXTREMELY interesting, fulfilling and fricken time consuming! I'll fill you all in later, if any of you care :p And let you know the whole deal, but right now, I've been nominated for Sr. Ring at my highschool, the highest position on the Student Council! I have to prepare because speeches are tomorrow! (Friday)

Wish me luck!

Good luck, but you should know that, where I come from at least, only geeks and principal's sons get nominated for the highest Student Council position. :p

Best of luck, Ob. "With great power comes... yadda, yadda, yadda."

I think I'll go watch Spider-Man now. :)

Alas my friends, I lost by 40 votes. It never fails to amaze me how these things are such huge popularity contests. *sigh* I lost to a guy whose speech was 45 secs long and a video tape of him in front of a brick wall... WTF!. I cant believe that really. And to top it off, neither of the winners (male and female) have even BEEN on the student council before. Oh what a dark world we live in....

democracy doesn't work! stage a coup and sieze power, imprisoning the current incumbent and installing your loyal followers into positions of power. that'll teach 'em to vote for the wrong person ;) :D

@Obsidian- Tamerlane did warn you. Maybe you should have tried Weasel's Evil Plan Generator first :D .

I recommend assassination as a way to achieve power. ;)

Tough luck, Obs :)

Come on over to my hidden base, I'll let you use my satellite Ion Cannon. if you have that fella address you can only input his sorry home coordinate and push a button - you'll enjoy the scene of your enemy incinerated house via my gigantic monitor too :D

Well, I would incinerate assinate or ionate (is that a word) the winner, if he weren't a good friend of mine
*sigh* so be it. I've won the position lower, so I guess I'll end up being the right hand man who does all the work. He'll probably get impeached for slacking off. Then it's mine! All mine!!!

Thanks guys!

Tought luck, Obsidian, but still - congratulations to winning the 2nd highest position :) I have no idea what your student council does, when I was at Uni our student council mostly worked for changing courses and pedagogics to what we thought was better. It was a lot of hard work negotiating and discussion with the teachers and principle, no fun at all but necessary. I was representing my class for 2 years and during this time I was also a member of a small "conflict solving group" that acted in special situations, I was quite happy to retire after that.

Introduce him to BG2. He'll become obsessed, and be unable to stop playing, and probably resign just so he can play more often. :D

Good move, Obs. I recommend using the Ol' Lewinsky tactic to impeach that fella, perhaps some tax evasion problems could also nail him like it does to Capone  :o  :D

LOL, I friggen love you guys!
In other news however, I'm starting up another kind of student representation of people like me who have served the "official" council for 3 yrs, and are sick of it. We've already got staff support and I have a solid core of talented people, we're going to focus in on charities outside the school. It'll be good!
In other news, I'm in the Outdoor school program, and am hamering around the province in my work education project. My partner and I have done a wide variety of community/environmental tasks ranging from teaching inner city classes about nature, to working on an organic farm. We leave for a sustainable living colony to help them build on Monday. It will be interesting. Go green.

You go, Obs :)

Speaking of green kinda remind me of tree planting. Here's another idea, burry your "ex-rival" alive and plant a real nice tree on top of him :D :D
