4 mages

Anyone reading this post is probably aware that I hate and distrust magic
For that reason I recently played a mage heavy party (multiplayer, couse I HATE the npc mages aside from edwin)

4 sorcerers, keldorn, Viconia

This is an observation.. no one likes energy drain the 9th lvl spell, towards the end of tob I found it to be a complete larf

4 mages... chain contingency 3x energy drain = 24 lvls

Demogorgan and draconis are lvl 25 and 24 to name but two.. draconis suffers instant death.. certain others require only one or two hits with upgraded gram or a single additional casting of energy drain

I think I will mage a six mage party.. just to have fun draining 36 lvls from stuff instantly (killing most bosses instantly)

This is nothing but my personal revenge against the game me having a cleric lvl drained in a random encounter and loosing restoration..I had to go to a temple and that really annoyed me

So for anyone like me who has a phycotic vendetta against the game for lvl draining them, a four to six mage party is the key to sweet revenge

Six mages are cool indeed... just a question who gets to wear robe of Vecna. To give them all RoV would be overpowering when you get improved alacrity.
There are probably several ways to kill enemies with four chain contingencies other then putting level drain in them but cool anyway... how was Demo at level 1 anyway? did he lose his abilities?
Makes me want to start a game with Imoen, aerie, nalia, jan, edwin and myself as wildmage... or maybe I should download kelsey and tashia... I have been wanting to do that but I am afraid it will screw up my multiplayer game.
Just a sidenote, Keldorn cant be happy when surrounded by four mages and Viconia... he must be living his worst nightmare :D

lv drain is a ninth level spell, thus cannot be chained contingencied...are you hacking???

giggle..how???

chain 3 dragon breaths....

funny!!!

or are you just incrreased acuity stacking???

well, tried out in torgals lair, got the improved version and found out the hard way about the spawn bug, at one point got so mad I stacked 6 dragon breaths in one round...mymymy!!! the only problem with dragon breath is it will work like smite...blow everyone away...this can break the quest in astral prison, cause I once blew the warden into the cell with haerdalis, thus no key...giggle...

even more funny is tossing afrag skull with smite...

use on orcs for a laugh...
hitting firky soon, will see if 6 dragons breaths in a round will knock him out cold, then leasurely strip his defences and have aerie bash to death...

There is indeed a method of putting lvl 9 spells in triggers and contingencies and even minor sequencers.. but its a pain in the ass and only good for people like me who as I stated before have a phycotic vendetta against the game for lvl draining them

Btw the 'Easy' way to do it (as opposed to the hard way which you probably dont wanna know giving that there is an easy way)
Go to spell maker in infinity editor, open the spell you want to use and relegate it to a lower lvl (yes lvl 1 wish and imprisonment) then either memorize it though shadow keeper or by editiing its companion scroll
The reason I did this was to swap some spells around to where I though they should be, big's hands got pushed down a lvl (7 and 8) Abhi's got pushed up a lvl

Uh, theres probably a reason why level drain is a level 9 spell and you probably found it....
