Where in Arkngthand do i use the Ancient Dwemer Door Key? Ive looked forever. By the way this is a very hard first quest and i have no complaints about it.....

you know I wondered the same thing but I think it goes to the locked door called "Deep Orc Hole" (hehe or something like that). It is the only place I could think of but I used a open spell on that door and had already explored that area. Although at the end of that area there are like 3 levels above that I could see but couldn't get up to. I also see a ghost up there so I figure something is there. Hmmmm, while typing this I just thought of a good use for that easter egg long jump spell from the *guy from the sky* that crashed and burned by starting town.

The key was in the area behind that door. I also used a spell and there is no other way in but that door.... did u find the golden dwarfen weapons??????

hehe not burning guy but *crashed and burned* as in fell from out of the sky and died. it happens as soon as you walk out of the starting town maybe 1/4 mile or less. the key I thought you were talking about was the key you get for bringing back the puzzle box. well some ppl don't have the spell to open that door, so I assumed that maybe it was so you could go back and enter that area. its like lockpicking a chest then finding the key to it later. this happens quite often to me. heck I'd rather lockpick it anyway to get my skill up even if I have the key. And yes I did find one dwarf weapon in there. as soon as you enter that area there is a high area to the left. you can climb up there if you get in the right spot. chest up there with a dwarf weapon.

Thats not the key im talking about though im sure the key you get for brining the box back is the key to the door but i have a different key

also at no time out side of the first town did someone fall from the sky

where did you get the quest from and where did you get the key from? a guild?

Hi,

I found 1 key inside the dungeon. It was named Ancient Dwymer Key (I think). Then on giving Hasphat the puzzle box, he said to come back after delivering his notes and he would give me a key. He didn't and since I used a spell to open the only locked door I could find, I didn't worry about it.

Also, I did get up to the 2nd lvl of that area using a jump spell but still couldn't find a way up to the 3rd level.

I'm hoping not worrying about that key doesn't bite me later.

Dungeon location

From Balmorra head towards Fort Monmooth. Just before the fort, turn left at the fork and then almost immediately go right up the hill. There is a bridge there. Cross the bridge and the dungeon is just to the right.

That key...

Hey, I also found that key in there, but have found no use for it. I think I've cleared everything except the higher levels of that one building with the water in front of it with the broken bridge in the Deep Ore Passage; I can't get up there at all. Oh well, I'm holding onto the Ancient Dwemer Key, but I think it was used for a locked door within that dungeon that I just lockpicked lol. I'm pretty sure it's not important.

I looked through the whole dungeon and i cannot find any!! keys, am i doing something wrong? Please tell me where it is. I have killed everything on that level. And what is that talk about 2nd and 3rd levels?
