you start off in Waukeens Promenade. I saw someone "shortened" the intro part (the pain will only be passing...you should survive the process...Ironically enough in their attempt to be funny they made it almost as long =/) and was thinking

If you can do that, might it not be possible to just have your new game start in Waukeens Promenade with all the important equipment found in the dungeoun, Minsc, Jaheria, and roughly the experince youd have earned in the dungeoun.

I mean lets all be honest, that is the most BORING part of the whole game. No one likes doing it but you HAVE to do it every game. This way you skip it! You can go anyway you want. Release Jaheria and Minsc if you want or keep on, etc

People who solo might not like this (prefering to keep all the experince rather then have it divided between 3 people) but id love it and im sure others would too.

So how about it? Is it feasible (or something similar)?

Here's how you clear the start dungeon lickety-split.

1. Enable cheat keys (Put Debug Mode=1 in baldur.ini)

1a. Optionally, use the Karzak's Shorter Introduction Cutscene scripts (usually at Baldurdash which I believe is down right now...)

2. Start the game.

3. When the cutscene is done, grab Minsc and/or Jaheira, if you want them.

4. Open the console with ctrl+space and type CLUAConsole:ExploreArea()

5. Use Ctrl+J to teleport your party to Irenicus' bedroom, and get the key (helps to have a thief here to disarm the traps!)

6. Ctrl+J to the portal and zap to the next map.

7. Grab Yoshimo if you want.

8. CLUAConsole:ExploreArea() again.

9. Ctrl+J to the exit.

10. Exit.

I got VERY GOOD at this process testing Kelsey. Took me about 2 minutes.

Yes, that is a little faster than grabbing the key, but I admit that I didn't feel like looking up the area for the second level of the start dungeon. :)

MoveToArea will take anybody who's selected with you.
