Playing BGII on a laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron 7500 with the ATI Rage Mobility video card, and 128MB RAM w/ Windows XP. Will this game play smoothly with 3D enabled, or will it be sluggish. I was trying to get some inputse as far as what laptops people have used to play the game on, and the speed. I hate casting magic missle on my Mac, and seeing them slowly creep across the screen.
