Kelsey Flirt Pack released

We have released a "flirt module" for Kelsey, the male sorcerer NPC.

Soon, the list of mirrors will be available at http://www.forgottenwars.net/kelsey but at the moment the only current site is
http://3ddownloads.com/?file_id=159822

(try the Texas server first.)

Kelsey Flirt Pack allows the PC to initiate short romantic interludes by clicking to talk on Kelsey while the romance is active. You can install over any version of Kelsey (1.0.0 through 1.0.2) and do not need to start a new game.

You guys are really doing a thorough job with this! I'm impressed.

The differences in version is not stated in the history section of the readme file. What are the changes from 1.01 to 1.02?

This is what the text file that came with the v1.0.2 patch says:
V1.0.2:

- Further changes and improvements to Kelsey's reputation-dependent
dialogue

- Corrected a mistake that prevented Corneil's dialogue from completing
properly with very low reputation and Kelsey in the party

- Corrected a mistake with dealing with "bribed Merritt", and future-
proofed a related variable.

By "patch" do you mean the 1.0.1->1.0.2 patch, or the flirt module?

The 1.0.1->1.0.2 patch can be DL'ed from the main project site listed in my .sig.

The URL to the flirt pack is at the top of this post, but here it is again: http://3ddownloads.com/?file_id=159822

Like Kelsey itself, the flirt pack has an auto-installer. You just click on the .exe and accept the defaults, it will automatically create a new directory in your SOA folder and then give you a quick "install, Yes/No?" question.

@jcompton:
I've installed Kelsey, at last.
Not tried yet, as I'm stuck with Ascension final battle...
(and I mean STUCK........)

A little problem.... Now in the last dialog I got a string like
<BROTHERSISTER> from Big M, while before this was correctly translated in the actual choice....

I installed only Kelsey after that, may this actually be the cause?
If so, will it be patched?
Oh, of course, if that happens exclusively there, we can live with it!
:D

@Littiz, are you that stuck?
Well, it's a good thing!
Finnally a challenge for Littiz's Almighty Kensai/Mage :p :p

I can't imagine how Kelsey could harm your Ascension game--it doesn't affect TOB at ALL right now, so I have to conclude that's just a strange glitch.

Their Ascension issue is unrelated to Kelsey.

Ok, thanx, not a problem anyway! :)

@Alson: from your words, I assume you never tried Ascension...
:D

Well, you're right, before this one, my kensai/mage died only once against IMPROVED Abazigal... the other reloads were due to roleplaying issues or to avoid other deaths (Immie....).
In this battle, my little kensai/mage went beyond every limit...
Even I would have never imagined how much devastation and havoc that single char could do in a single round, using the "Crossed Time Stops + Alacrities" strategy....

But as I explained here , this was not even close to be enough...

:(

That is correct, but i've installed it's WeiDU version and i'm heading there now, quite excited after reading the stuff in your link...

Really, the more i play BG2, the more i enjoy it, and anspired by this forum, i started to roleplay rather then powerplay. I even write all my adventures in the Journal, so immie can read it when i'll rescue her, and know all the stuff i did without her...
You're absoulotly right Littiz, roleplaying is the way to go!

Are you sure you've understood the meaning of my post??! :D

Anyway, glad to see that my posts have some credit, now and then! ;)

agwhh, eheheh, you even beat me here!

I tell you that I'm no more interested in Neverwinter Nights.
(I doubt it could offer the same incredible battles and combos...)
For now BG2 is more than enough, the mods and the AI improvements made it the best CRPG around!

But, about Ascension, well, let's speak about something else....

You should really consider writing a Journal. It adds a lot of depth into the character, thus making it much more memorable

Havn't beaten that final battle yet? Well, you should really consider pre-buffing... :D :p

Pre-buffing?!?!?

Back on topic, now I can try Kelsey, at last!!!!!

Yeah, I could consider the Journal thing, though my most beloved char just ended her trip!! :)

CONGRATS LITTIZ!! :) :)

And, back to topic - try Kelsey!
He's great and perfectly implented in-game.
Hmmm...
A party of a Kensai/Mage and a Sorcerer...
The final battle will probably be the only chellange in the game :D
