I have been reading these forms for some time and have got some great ideas from them, but enchanting seems to be the biggest concern. I created this thread for everyone to post their ideas for enchanting weapons especially at earlier levels. Also, I have a question. At what level of enchantment/intelligence can you actually make somethig that is cool, better than just putting 1 minor enchantmet on a sword, but 2 or more, for example. Also, does anyone know where I can get some freakin good soul gems. I "did" the mage quests in Balmora to get those soul gems, but there are only 4 decent ones (the 2 common ones, the purple one, and the grand one). Where can I get some good ones?

i have found probably 8 grand soul gems now. they have been in mage guild and telvanni towers/buildings. i have never found a grand soul gem on a monster and ive killed lots of the more powerful shtuff (even a few of the dagoths). save all grand soul gems for soultrapping golden saints (ive been told ascended sleepers will also work). a golden saint grand soul gem has 400 charges and will allow you to create items with a "Constant" effect (permanent, if you will). i have tried to create a Fortify Int 30 pts on an adamantium helmet (150/150 enchantment pts) with a 100 enchant skill and about a 35 restoration and i have failed 5 out of 5 times. i was able to cast an 18 pt enchantment on a daedric katana (so it was 18/18 pts) absorb health 45 pts 0 duration cast when strike using a winged twilight grand soul gem (300 charges) and my mysticism skill is about a 25. i do think the school skill level for the spell you want to enchant has something to do with the success of enchanting. i am able to enchant a fortify stat for 10 pts constant effect no problem. but i want to go for the 30 pt. i will build my restoration skill up more to test this further. good luck
