Restore vs Fortify

That's basically the question. Let's say I have two rings. One restores health for 10 pts, the other Fortifys health for 10 pts. The restore heals me, and I think the other does as well, but what's the difference? Is it just the wording?

I'm just taking a wild guess but I think restores will only go to u're max and fortify's will add to u're max...I don't know haven't had to use any potions and am saving the addictive STR fortify's for when I need it

Thats right. restore does exactly that, restores lost stats due to disease, magic, ect. Fortify adds to your existing stat.

restore effects are permanent and fortify tents to have a time limit... unless its a really special item.
