trials of the luremaster: stuck, stuck stuck!

After having defeated the foes in all four towers and obtaining the symbol of Helm and the four scrolls, I went to the chapel and took the book and placed the symbol onto the altar. At this point, a sound like a secret door opening can be heard, but nothing is visible. My party can't go anywhere but back out into the courtyard. The large gate that leads to the inner castle is still locked and cannot be forced, picked or opened with a "knock" spell. So, what is it I'm leaving out or not doing correctly? Is this a program glitch or just a missed step/overlooked feature?

There should be a circular recess in the wall that moves back once you have completed the necessary ritual. Make sure to check underneath and behind the altar, i can't recall the exact postition :o

I've checked the circle thoroughly. It neither moves nor glows nor does a thing. No amount of searching around, using the cursor or even pressing Alt will show anything that even hints at a door.

You must place the book on a pedastal/alter and the symbol in the dish IIRC.

The door is in the same room - not on the "east" wall but back towards the main entrance - it is in the wall of the raised alter (if you get my drift?).

luremaster problem solved

I had to reload the program and then I found it. Must've been a glitch. Thanks for the help, nonetheless. It's appreciated!
