when i started the spellhold quest, bodhi told me
that i got three days to escape the dungeon. meanwhile,
a friend of mine told me that she's just lying and i've got
all the time that i want to finish it.
who's right? who's wrong?

There is no time limit. Take your time and clear out that den of evil.

I didn't go with Bohdi in the end, but I did take a while in Spellhold, so I don't think that taking more than three days will screw your game up. I had to rest several times, and that's usually, what....8-16 hours.

So you should be fine if you take a while.
