Why do some merchants immediately put on the armour i've just sold them. So did the armourer just outside the Fighters Guild and Wayn inside that guild.

Merchants who put on your stuff cracks me up. I believe it is just a bit of comic relief - the merchants put on the most valuable apparel they have. Many merchants do the same when you sell them expensive clothing - first time I say this I FOFLMAO

Yeah it can be pretty hilarious to walk in and see a Kajit in an extravagant robe and those huge spikey bonemold shoulderpieces.
