NWN: Dungeon Master vs. Random BG

From the vid clip, the concept of what a dungeon master does eluded me. Is it like having our lovely mods but 'in game', altering things on a whim?

BG has a simple random events ("you have been waylaid...") and even better with current mods (Sola). Is a DM the 'random' experience to simulate more realistic RPG's?

Any importing in NWN or is it a totally different format.

This is going into my "favourite quotes of all time" list. :D

A dungeon master is more like PnP AD&D.

You should really send me a shorthand dictionary-

PnP AD&D?

Don't worry, another year at GB forums and I'll be sleep talkin it.
Good thing take time- (i.e BG, NWN!),

Pen and Paper (classical roleplaying), Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (the rules used by BG, IWD, BG2 and P:T).
