Yes you have to fight tozak to gain access to firkaag and garren's child.
The door to the ogre should be north of the well in a corridor guarded by some orogs/golems.

There is a door right where you found Samia. It leads to a hallway that goes to Tozak's area. The exit to the next level is right next to his room.

If you need more info, check out the walkthrough on this sights BG 2 section, it has maps for reference.

Just so you don't get confused, you pass by the well in the hallway.
