The Invisible Caster!!

You all know, some "defensive" spells may be casted without
breakin invisibility....
Stoneskin, Spell Immunity, Time Stop (yes, Time Stop too!!!)
and the like.
But what if you wanted to cast an OFFENSIVE spell and remain
invisible???
Totally invisible, not just shimmering as when you break Improved
Invisibility...
Eheheheheheh.....
Littiz's brand new spell strategy come in help!
Of course it's not so easy or endless, but it can be done!
Cast Chain Contingency and put whatever spell you want,
Target: "Nearest Enemy"
Condition: "Helpless"
Tested with Immie, who holds the Staff of Magi...
She loads the Chain with Magic Missile, Maze, and Abi Dalzim!
Then she walks close (this needed only to test Maze...) to a pair
of enemy fighters, invisible.
Then she casts... Project Image!!!!!!!
One of those is immediatly hit and mazed, both suffer Abi D.,
Immie remains invisible all the time!!!!
Even better, the image ITSELF starts invisible thanx to Staff,
so the remaining fighter starts moving confused not knowing
what to do....
User would be proud of me, even if this is clearly a legal
trick!!!
Go mages!!!

(it's NOT cheese at all!!!)
Oh, but we have to thank Immie!
Anyway, nothing really new here, yet I see some
interesting possibilities.
I've never used the condition "Enemy Sighted", as I think
it makes little sense (from your mage point of view,
the next enemy could be a kobold....)
This way you can prepare and use in need, choosing your
target.
And your mage can enter a room, do his work, without
worrying too much about possible survivors...
(unless they all see invisible things..)
Of course this can be used even vs True Sight, just raise
a Spell Immunity: Divination before.
Then cast it with the image too, if you have Vecna,
and autopause (end of round), it'll raise that before
being dispelled.
@Rattman: I'm not that much into cheese, you cheater!!

of course, I don't see any cheat!!!

But where's the cheese or the abuse?
Contingencies are external events triggered by certain conditions.
So we used them in PnP. Just my PoV........

It's not that great unless you
know what's coming up next, which is still reasonably often even if it's your first time through. However, try casting Chain Contingency in the midst of battle! Not only will you be able to chain three spells together that would otherwise take you three rounds to cast, you can also marvel at some distinctly cheesy glitches contingency spells offer:
- They cast instantly.
- You can cast again immediately afterwards (no waiting for the next round).
- You can cast them while the game is paused.
Can you say...

The point was to AVOID this kind of cheese!
This is one of the reasons I've always used defensive contingencies, SO FAR......
Anyway, your site has been really a great help, Xyx!
And I loved Smart Beholders, will you do somewhat else?

Hehe Xyx, your Smart Beholders were great! They "felt" the rays reflected back at them and stopped eyeing Anomen (Shield of Balduran). Took me around 10 minutes to melee those swarming melee-beholders with a pitiful Flail of Ages and Righteous Magic... But somehow the AI seemed to prevent the Elder Orbs from using imprisonment. I'd be a dead duck long ago if they did

. Perhaps you could change that abit...?

user is proud of you....
but even easier, is one i posted a while back, where you enter a room with inv on, and spell immunity if necessary, and just cast cahin....you never ever break inv, and the chain is a white spell, non offensive....
just target nearest enemy, and watch them die....
been hitting the morrowind forum, where i am the proud discoverer of the _kagaroo spell, way better than levitation, and looks so cool...
