Sojourner/Sabre type help needed (SPOILERS)

I'm at the tree of life, facing Irenicus. After he's beaten he's supposed to suck everyone down to hell...but instead of that I get this message: 'REPLY CONDITION ERRORS:-TRIGGER:ISVALIDFORPARTYDIALOGUENOTFOUND. CHECK FOR PROPER BRACKETS. LINE NUMBER: 1. And nothing happens, Irenicus just stands there. Rather spoils the atmosphere.

Ive got the (latest) Sola mod installed which has recently also caused a problem-a dialogue loop just before we entered the area with Irenicus. I had to boot Sola in order to be able to continue. What to do?

Thanks in advance :)

It sounds like your dialog.tlk and/or several dialog files were corrupted. More than likely you'll need to re-install the game. Make sure you report this problem to the mod-makers, as well as what other mods you had installed at the time.

*BUMP*

I'm still having this problem even after a reinstall and an assurance from Wes that the problem would be fixed in the new versions of the mods..the only difference being now that instead of the horrible error message, after Irenicus is beaten I get the 'you feel a tingling...can it really be over?' And then Irenicus stands up (as'nearly dead') and does nothing and I don't get to go to hell.

Has anyone else had this problem? And can anyone please help me? I'm looking at you in particular Sabre... :)

Why me? :)

Anyway, there are a number of possible reasons why you encountered the problem - could be script problem or dialogue problem. I have included the scripts from my game - which I can't find any problem in; this doesn't mean that there are no problem at all, there might be some that I don't know about. Try putting these files into the Override directory and see if it fix the problem, if not, I'll check through the dialogue file.

Ok, so it's a dialogue problem. Dialogue problem is a bit harder to deal with, as the text references might be different for different versions of the game. And since I can't convert it into TBG files, nor do I know how to use WeiDU - I'm not too sure if it will help. However, I've included everything to do with the encounter in the attachment - scripts, dialogues - if you want to give it a try, go ahead. You can simply delete the files if they cause any problem, and your game will return to what how it was.

There might be an alternative to this, but I need to know exactly what has and has not happened with the encounter. So if you post what you did, any dialogues, etc. for the encounter, I'll see what I can do - start with after you killed the three parasites.

Sabre, you are a GENIUS!! I don't know what you did or how you did it, but it worked. I can't begin to thank you enough...but I'll try anyway. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. And again, thankyou. :D

All I did was sent you the files from my game - for some reason they are corrupted in your game - it seems that the two versions are the same. You're welcome and have fun.

Does seem strange that this happened on a new install too...the only mods present are various Wes ones and yet nobody else seems to have had this problem. Weird. Maybe one of the discs is damaged or something?
