What happens if your PC is dual classed (and therefore needs high ability numbers) and then you choose to lose a point (in the Asylum) in one of the required stats for a dualed character.
Are they still a dual class, does anything happen?
i.e Fighter mage
Strength =15
Intell=17,
what happens if:
Strength =14? for example

If i'm not mistaken, then you can't dual-class

I'm pretty sure the check is done when you do the dual classing. You won't be able to dual once you lose the point, but if you've already dualed it won't affect you.

Does that mean if you wanted to (for example) dual to a cleric but didn't have high enough wisdom, you could drink a potion of insight and then dual? Or does the game ignore abilities that are 'in red'?

No, abilities granted by items/potions don't count when the game checks to see if you can dual class.

Yeh, for those who haven't faced the dream sequence and didn;t know you are faced with the decision of losing an ability point.
