The problem in fact was how to avoid development of unarmored and block skill while wearing heavy/medium/light armour.
The solution is easy: equip a shield and (after that, it's important) a 2-handed weapon. So the shield effectively blocks the development of unarmored skill. Regarding the block skill one should be in battle ("F") mode because either in magick ("R") and neutral mode shield works, in neutral mode you can even see it in spite of fact you sort of have 2-handed weapon equiped, the spear/staff or whatever you have apperars only in "Fighting" mode.
