fav enchantments for bows...

This one goes out to all you marksmen. I have yet to find a great bow in this game (certainly nothing to match the calibre of long blades, etc.). In fact, I don't think I've seen a magic bow yet. Bethesda's fletcher plugin makes it easy to nab a daedric bow. So the question is, what to do with it.

I've had some ideas, but they didn't pan out. Although the "cast when strike" option is available for bows, it doesn't work like I thought it would. (I thought I could get away with a "cast invisibility on self when strike", tee hee, snipe away and they'll never find me.)

So what do we do with bows (aside from somewhat bland "fortify marksman"). Any ideas? Chameleon maybe?

Perhaps the bow itself isn't too important, now that the fletcher carries some really useful arrows...but I wanna magic bow!

Night Eye might be an option (low-light scope :) ).

I found a Daedric Bow awhile back and tried to enchant it enough to match the bound bow...didn't work :p . IMHO, a 'constant' bound longbow (on armor, clothing, or even a ring) is a better weapon (+10 marksman, no weight factor and repairs for 1gp no matter how worn it is). That Daedric bow is HEAVY ! :)

True enough. I have a constant bound longbow lying on the floor of my temporary "stronghold" in Balmora. It was fun for a while, but now I'm kinda hoping it'll magically disappear so I can avoid the temptation of exploiting that bug. Already my flawed rationality is seeping in..."I can cast bound longbow any time I like for long enough to kill any baddie, so this just limits the tedium, right?"...arrgghh...don't pick it up...don't pick it up...

Ah, the power of cheese...

I honestly can't resist the lure of the bound weapons :)

I MAKE myself wear a lt. glass bracer (constant Longbow), rt. glass bracer (constant Longsword) and a dragonscale helm (constant dagger and something else), at the expense of better items and AC, so I can justify their 'legitimacy'...

maybe Vvardenfell offers a cheese rehab center...
