life.... is soooooo hollow

Post by blueguy »

im sure youve all probably noticed this a LONG time ago and have given little thought to it... but recently for one reason or another, i was bored and decided to do the tutorial. to my surprise, Xan and Bramwen from BG1 appeared and helped you along!! i was shoked and amazed, and then a little annoyed that i was only allowed to use them in the tutorial. this might sound a little crazy, but Xan's constant depression and pessimism added a flare to my party in BG1 that i miss. i wish i could use him in the normal game

You can!

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("TTXan") and CTRL+Q him into your party. You'll need to have the game paused to do this, as he only appears for a second or so. No party interactions, but the voiceovers still work.

Enjoy! :)

what do you mean voice overs?
Ancient times they had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies

"I'm invinceable"
"your a loony"

I'd rather be rich than stupid.

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

What comes out of your speakers when a character performs an action or is selected.

Xan's voice is soooo cool it's a major plus that it still works.

Yes, the original and extremely depressing voice from BG1.

I never played BG1 to the end, but I remember Xan was rather pathetic with only 4 hps?? when you acquired him..
His voice is pretty cool, I agree...'your voice is ambrosia' - I'm not sure if that last word is right.

You're referring to Xzar.

Xan is the chronically depressed elf from the Naskel Mines.

4 HPs is totally normal for a 1st level Mage.

You can get him, and many more NPCs from BG1 in BG2 without using CLUAConsole. Go to Manveru's Formen Elenost Library and click on the Custom NPCs for BG2 link on the left.

talking about voices

Talking about addictive voices .. there's one that had me sooooo hooked .. he is the fellow in Spellhold Prison that churns out little jewels for you every time you speak to him .. Imean I was like hypnotised with that sing song rhyme of his .. couldn't stop talking to him to make him repeat.

What about xzar??? Can't you get him too??? I really misses him in BG2. I was so happy the first time I saw him in BG2, so of course I did all what he wanted...... And what turned out? Xzar dead.......ARRGGHHHH!!!!

How can I get him?

Does anyone know if they are compatible with the Weido mods? I currently have Sola, Kelsey and Tashia installed.
